42'' Modern Ceiling Fan with Light LED Integration Three-Color Light with Remote Control ABS Retractable Blade for Living Room Bedroom Restaurant

I just recently purchased this fan and wanted to help out some people who struggled with the install. Unfortunately the ceiling mount bracket is not designed to match US standards and I've seen people who said that an electrician was needed to complete the install.In my case, I found that there is Universal Crossbar that can be purchased (I went to a local hardware store to pick one up) and that allows for the ceiling mount bracket to be hung without issues.With that said, I give this a 4 star due to the mounting difficulties but all other aspects of the fan are fantastic. It's super quiet, very attractive and stylish and the light is super bright with three temperature variations when turing on the lamp.Installation was much easier once the ceiling mount was sorted out. With no fan blades to assemble this was one of the fastest installed fan that I've ever hung. the instructions were straight-forward and I had the fan up and working within 30 minutes.I would recommend this unit but would suggest purchasing the Universal Crossbar in addition to make installation much easier.

Throw away the paper instructions because they don't make sense; go search for YouTube videos for this fan which walk you through assembling the canopy with downrod and motor cover - the video will give you better information. Here are some other "tips" that may help you in your installation journey:1. the mounting bracket needs a slightly larger ceiling box; someone else pointed this out also. Otherwise you'll have to use the alternative fastening options.2. Before suspending the fan motor from the mount, you need to wire and attach the lighting portion. (I know this sounds obvious and I'll say it anyway because NO instructions were in my box for this) Attach the downrod to the motor and run the wiring through. Then I suggest a) remove the light shade from the lighting portion b) run the wires from the motor through to the led lights c) make the connections d) screw the lighting component onto the motor and e) possibly reattach the shade, but you can do that anytime later.3. Then hang the fan, wire and insert the remote control at the top of the mounting bracket.4. Get on with the rest of the install.GOOD LUCK FELLOW PURCHASERS!

Fans arrived on time, well packaged and no visible damage from shipping. I was happy until I found the instruction manual and started reading. Poorly translated manuals are so common that one expects errors and improper syntax. Usually diagrams along with having the product in your hands adds enough understanding to interpret the text. Such was not the case with this manual. To compound matters, the manual is written to install two very different fan models. I found the manual nearly useless with a few exceptions: There are a few diagrams and the mangled text can be rather entertaining once no longer needed.So, one needs to know how to install ceiling fans. Secondly, fasteners and wire nuts were missing. Thirdly, the mounting brackets are not sized to common electrical boxes in the US. I measured our boxes at 3.5 inches outside to outside bolt edge. The mount bracket as supplied is more than 4 inches. So, one also needs a measuring tape, a drill, drill bits and something to hold the bracket secure while drilling holes. Luckily I have a well equipped workshop with bench vise.I had a few misgivings about the LED control board as it is supplied with magnets, small magnets, to attach to the stamped metal LED light base. Once things were up and running, fears were allayed. No vibration and the control boards have not budged.Fan appearance is modern and works well with most décor. NO dangling light kit with rattle prone glass bits. The fans run quiet with generous air movement. I also like the color choice on the LED lights which I stumbled upon by accident. If the manual mentions how to change LED color, I am sorry that I missed it. Color choices range from a very cool white (maybe 3500k) to a warmer yellow (about 2700k). The warmer setting works best for us as we find the cooler or whiter light to be uncomfortably bright.

It is a beautiful fan, very quiet, the air is very soothing. The lights are too bright for a bed room, that being said good luck interpreting the directions, seems like a direct translation of another language and makes no sense, words like "Homeopathy" "governor" "zipper" etc which have nothing to do with the directions are all over. If you can see the directions through all that you have a good end product.

Received the fan today, I like the fan a lot, looks very unique and the noise level is low, it has 3 different tones of light and speed. I'm giving 4 star because the instructions sucks, does not match the actual fan. However, is not a science to install it.

The media could not be loaded.  Like the idea but the entire reason of my purchase was to use the fan and Bluetooth while I sleep but have the light off. My units bluetooth speaker will not work with the light turned off which is very disappointing to me.

The fan looks awesome. I like the idea of the retractable blades. Very unique. However there are two major issues.1. The fan cannot be reversed. It always forces the air down (summer mode).2. The low speed is so strong, we can't use it. It's installed over our snack bar and is so strong, it's impossible to eat.This was a very expensive lesson.

We got this fan to go in our breakfast nook area. It is perfect. When it is off you don't have to see the blades, which is nice since it is over a table. I love when you turn it on and the blades come shooting out. It works great and looks even better.
