Great plants and fast shipping
I have bought water Hyacinth from this company 2 years in a row and I'm about to order my third set, I was confused why they have so many low ratings and on scrolling through I see a bunch of amateurs complaining because they don't understand how plants work. Yes they may show up to you looking a little rough but if you toss them in your pond they will take off, what are Hyacinth is an invasive plant for a reason it is extremely hard to kill, grows extremely thick and reproduces like crazy. Last year I let them grow without culling any just to see what would happen and within a couple of months it took over the entire surface of my pond and they are so thick and heavy it took me all day just to pull the excess out. I have literally thrown these on the ground and left them for a month and they were still alive, if you can't grow these plants in your pond you probably shouldn't be keeping a pond or plants, maybe turn to the internet and figure out how to do things properly. I've got nothing but good things to say about this seller because the price is absolutely the lowest I've ever found and is way cheaper than buying them from a local pet store or anywhere else on the internet that I have found.

Not what was expected.
Waited to order these plants when the weather was a little warmer for survivability while being mailed. Upon receiving these plants I opened the box as soon as it arrived at my door as to help maintain the health of the plants. To my surprise there were quite a few plants in the bundle but many of the leaves had already started to "melt" and the air sacs in a few of them were nothing but gel and practically dissolved when placed in water. I have a large container I have setup for quarantine that these plants are in with plenty of nutrients and sunlight to aid in any possible recovery. It has been a few days now since I received these plants and they actually look worse than before and doesn't seem to be in favor of survival for any of them. Mind you I have extensive experience in aquatic plant and fish requirements and care so I am greatly disappointed in the quality of these plants and would question if the seller gave poor quality plants or somehow the transport of these plants was at fault. At this point for the price I can not recommend this product to others unless the seller can make this defective product right.

We are now live!
Very pleased! There was nothing available locally so Amazon to the rescue.I read and re-read much of the reviews and was really hoping for the best.My biggest worry was that the plants would be infested as a few reviews noted. They arrived quickly! The package was well wrapped. And yes, a wet paper towel was wrapped around the root, but it protected them well.I rinsed well and placed them in a bowl AS DIRECTED and examined for cooties. LOLThere were a few small worms and several scuds (tiny shrimp-like creatures that eat crud), but nothing alarming. And trust me, I cringe at crawlers.I agree with the reviewer that noted if these plants were for an aquarium it might be wise to isolate them for 24 hours before plopping them in.Helpful hint: I read that if you put a few slices of zucchini in the aquarium or pond the scuds attach themselves for easy removal if they're an issue. For the pond not so much of a problem. The plants were healthy and a good size so should flourish in our new pond.I will try to post an additional picture as they grow.As these are live pond plants some bugs should be anticipated as they grow in murky water. They shouldn't expect to be food quality for humans. I expect if they were infested I would ask for replacement.I was very pleased with my order and will absolutely order again.

Worked for me
After reading the reviews, I decided to go for it, figuring even if they were in poor shape, I might get a couple to survive. At the price I paid, that was still a better deal than the others I found on Amazon. I've never purchased hyacinths before, so I don't know what they're supposed to look like. I'll describe what arrived and what has transpired in the month and a half since.Of the 5, three had a thick tube-like structure with the roots. I got the sense that it was supposed to be there, so I figured that maybe I'd lose two off the bat. All 5 had about 3 inches of hairy roots, felt like they were in good shape. There were several dead spots which I pruned. I'm not sure of the correct way to prune hyacinths, but my choices didn't seem to cause any harm (I left the bulbous part except for one that had turned black, otherwise only cutting the brown leaves off). After all the pruning, there was one plant left with very little greenery, so I had no hope of it surviving. The packaging was mostly good. The only thing I couldn't figure out is why the packing peanuts? There were only a few, so they served no purpose other than to make a big mess. And haven't we moved past packing peanuts anyway? I hope the shippers do that better for others going forward.Really weird: the day they arrived it was quite warm, and I was unaware of their arrival. This could have contributed to how much I had to prune. The day after or maybe two days after, a polar vortex moved through (in MAY!!) and froze everything. I couldn't believe it.The current state of things: I have four of the five plants, and a small little green bit that floats about that could be the fifth? Or a new one? I don't really know how they spread, so I don't know what it is. But it's tiny and floats about. The four bigger ones still have some brown spots, but to be honest, I'm amazed they survived the shipping, the heat, and then the freeze. The day after the freeze, half of all the greenery had turned brown, and the other greenery was a pale yellow. I was really bummed thinking they would die, but they didn't! Now they're beautiful and I can't wait to see how they progress from here.In the end, I recommend these.
