When I got them (a month or more ago) they didn't take up much space in the ring which made it look a little funny. You almost saw more foam ring than plants
I have these in my pond ring. When I got them (a month or more ago) they didn't take up much space in the ring which made it look a little funny. You almost saw more foam ring than plants. Since that time while I've been paying attention to other things, they've almost overgrown the ring. It started to get very crowded so I went through and pulled all of the slightly browning plants, broke the runners off and put the new bright green runners back in the ring. It looks great right now, but I'm almost a little worried I'll be pulling old plants every month or so. They grow fast for sure.I did actually get flowers on one of the bunches a few weeks after putting them in the pond. They lasted a few days and then shriveled up. I haven't seen any since, but don't much expect to at this point in the season.I do want to mention - when I got the package, I noticed a little bit of frogbit (I think that's what it is - almost looks like very tiny lily pads that stick in groups and float) that hung onto these plants. I figured that would quickly colonize my plant ring, and I wasn't far off. It's filled up all of the "blank space" that the hyacinths have left it. Occasionally a few will get loose and get sucked into the skimmer, but I'm not unhappy with them being there. If I had these plants loose I think I would have a serious headache on my hands, with this stuff all over the pond surface, but in the ring it can only grow out so far. It's worth noting that if I strongly did not want that in the pond, I (probably) could have easily rinsed it off before putting them in.

don't let it ship for too long
I was worried at first when I received the plants. They come in a plastic sealed bag and in a box. The package was hot like a microwavable veggie bag. The plants were steamed. I immediately placed them into a 20 gallon mini-pond. After a few days, some of the leaves turned black, but now they are multiplying and thriving. I started off with 3 plants, and they have replicated into 18 clusters. When cold weather comes, I plan to get an aquarium or another 20 gallon half barrel to bring them inside and use a plant lamp. Hopefully that will keep them alive during the winter.

They are worth the money
I had to float the plants in my fish tank for a few weeks because the weather got to cold for them to be in the pond. They did amazing in the aquarium, they were growing and were beautiful. The day I was able to put them in the pond, they started to turn brown, and the bulbs turned white and mushy. I think it might have been something I did. They are still alive, a little bit anyways. I'm hoping they come back though. I am going to buy more and see if it was just the shock of switching environments like they did that made them wilt or not.

My turtle died.
They showed up in paper towels and a padded Priority envelope, the surprised me. They seemed in good health. I placed them in my pond which has a tiny turtle living in it. Unfortunately after a few days of the new plants I found my little turtle floating. I'm not sure if the plants have soaked in something to keep them fresh. But it seems strange that it died.

Plants were in good shape and are doing well
Plants arrived in very good shape for having traveled all the way across the country. Just a few yellowing leaves that were easy to pick off. Plants were in good health. They were packed in a plastic bag with some damp newspaper to help keep them moist. There were 5 rather than 3, maybe to make up if any died along the way, but they all made it! We had a leech hitchhiker though so if you are ordering these for a pond with fish, you might want to give them a good rinse and inspect to get rid of hitchhikers. We do not have fish and read leeches will eat mosquito larva so were happy to add him to the water. After 2 weeks, the plants have more than doubled their numbers. Can't wait to get some flowers!

Started out great then died
Received very quickly and plants looked wonderful and healthy just some mild Browning on edges of a couple of leaves. Put them immediately into fish tank on covered patio to rehydrate as directed. Left them in for 3 days and moved them to container pond in full sun. They were still healthy and fish were loving them. Approx 4 days later they were all dying and then all dead a couple of days later. Not sure if our excessive heat wave that week killed them or something else. Going to order more and try again.
