Admission! I haven’t tested the sound yet as I feel the need to go to a desolate area and I don’t have a car! I’ll assume it’s extremely loud at 140db since apparently an ambulance siren is 120db.My concern was dropping or losing the peg if ever I was in a terrifying situation that necessitated use of the alarm. Fifty minutes of a 140 dB shriek seemed overwhelming. If I carried a Phillips head screwdriver in my purse would I have the presence of mind to find and use it in an extremely stressful situation? Looping the strap through the key ring is my solution. Possibly others have a better one.I keep extra alarms available to give to people who I hear express fear of what’s currently happening on the streets in our cities. Today I gave one to a 14 year old boy who was beyond thrilled to receive it. My hope, my goal is to never be in a place or situation where I have to use it. But if I am, the all important peg will hopefully be available!

Purchased this for my teenage daughter who wants more independence and for me who wants her safe. You really can't accidently pull this and trigger the alarm. It takes a good, intentional yank, but once you do, you can hear it! We wanted her to have something we could hear if she was anywhere in our neighborhood (you can!) and something unobtrusive that was not a burden to carry. Also felt it would scare any would-be evildoers away. It is certainly VERY jarring to be near it when it's going off!Also gave one to my mother just in case she were to fall inside the home or outside the home, say in a parking lot. Gave her a bit of confidence that someone would come to her aid. She lives in a single family home, but this sound is piercing and I'm sure her neighbors would come to investigate what was going on.

I have not had to use the alarm yet. It should do the trick in scaring off a criminal. It is very loud.

I bought four of them as I have 4 grandaughts, they are runners and usually run alone, as 2 are married and live out of state. They wondered why I gave them a key chain, I explained to them why I got them and made them all put them on their key chains. Now I won't worry as much and they seemed to really like them. Since I have ordered 2 additional ones for my daughter and myself, as I am 73 and sometimes walk my dog at night. So I thank you

Great price, great value.Believe me when I say that these alarms are LOUD. I have in the past lost some frequencies of hearing, and these still hit my ears. High recommend. 10 stars if possible. Whoever marks these down is either deaf or is a thief who wants us to not have these.

I purchased 2 packages and kept one and sent the other to my daughter and grandson. They both are making use of those received. My daughter has 1 attached to her purse, in the car, and on her nursing kit while her son uses it on his home keychain and school bag. I feel much safer using this alert. Thanks so much! best price for amount and quality that I could find they are great they sound super loud and they will alert anyone around you. the only thing is that because the cord to pull the pin is as long as it is it is easy to accidentally pull it if it's on your keys so I would recommend maybe more keeping it in your purse or in your car versus right on your keys so you don't accidentally pull it but it is great.
