Great value and hard to find thyroid gland I have hashimotos and I alway see the expensive ads for what will help your thyroid. This is one of the exact same product and such but cheaper. So far it’s helped.

This review applies to Thyroid Glandular (Thyroxin-Free) 200 mg 60 Caps) by Swanson only. I have used other freeze dried Bovine Thyroid and have had no problem and my TSH always showed I was getting more than enough Thyroid hormone. I started taking the Swanson brand in June of 2019 my TSH showing .09 L with my T3 and T4 at within recommended limits. I have been on Bovine since September of 2018 because of the availability of Porcine and the cost since my insurance doesn't cover it. I have been on a strict diet since August 2019 and noticed I was not losing any weight and I wasn't feeling my best, puffy face, fatigued, irritable etc. I went to my doctor and had my annual test run. My TSH was up to 90.85 H my T3<0.4 L and T4 0.1 L. Since I do not have a functioning Thyroid, ablated in 2006, I need Thyroid hormones. I implore you to have your labs done if you are taking Swanson Thyroid Glandular (Thyroxin-Free) 200 mg to verify you are getting your needed Thyroid hormone. This has been a game-changer for me. My levels were trending downward. However, doctor said not low enough for meds. My body aches, fatigue, brain fog & hand tremors are gone.

I have DECADES of experience with Thyroid supplementation, and since this product claims to have 200 mg per capsule of bovine Thyroid gland, I should be feeling quite well with that.Instead, I am having to take FOUR caps to get the result I need, until a better glandular becomes available.Swanson, PLEASE upgrade your product to be the real deal so those of us who cannot function without REAL thyroid natural supplementation, can feel well taking your product.Because your product is fairly affordable in comparison to another Bovine Thyroid glandular I was taking, I suspect that yours has VERY LITTLE of a REAL THYROID BOVINE GLANDULAR from New Zealand cattle.BE HONEST, you are providing a product that is greatly needed FOR HEALTH.

So this is my OWN fault for trusting the Swanson brand and only looking at the main ingredient. The other ingredients include magnesium stearate. This was a waste of money as I cannot tolerate that at all. I see reviews where people have tummy issues taking this, and they probably have no clue WHY. Two stars only because it contains Thyroxin-free (bovine) tissue, but I'm also leery about that being pure form since my other brand kept my weight stable. Seriously disappointed.

I have suffered from symptoms of hypo-thyroid for years. Progressing from mild to unbearable over the last 25 years. I was always freezing, my body temp was never above 97.2, I was exhausted to the point of hardly being able to get out of bed, my skin was pale, yellowish and scaley and my hair had almost fallen out completely, especially the hair around my ears. I had also lost half my eyebrows.Since starting Swanson Thyroid Glandular 2 1/2 months ago everything has normalized. My body temp, energy and skin started to improve immediately and after about 2 months I noticed my hair is growing in thicker and healthier. I actually have hair growing pst my ears and covering them. I will never stop taking this product!!!
