I’ve been running a Rocket Ron on my front wheel for a little over year. The most important factor in determining whether I like a tire or not is my confidence when riding the trails.I ride in harbison state forest, which has plenty of fun climbs and downhills, technical spots, rocky spots, dirt, pine straw, sand, and at times, can be muddy. This tire, at least in front, handles it all. No slip, no slide, and no worries.What I love about this tire is that it is a perfect mix between having the right amount of grip without having a massive amount of roll resistance. I even run hard and fast around curves, which requires leaning the bike over onto the side of the tire. Still, no problems.

Have never had issues with Schwabble tires but the quality must be off. Small pin hole appeared on sidewall first ride and I was 3 miles into the trail Bought them because of weight and sidewalls seamed strong based on reviews

I’ve run rocket Ron’s for years and maybe things have changed in mountain bike rims since I bought my bike, but these tires are AWFUL. Not because they aren’t durable, or have a bad tread. They are awful because the bead of the tires is so over designed that it is almost impossible to get it onto my rim. I’ve never seen anything like it. Stay away if you want to save your tire irons.... I upped my rating to three stars. I still don’t recommend this tire for normal mountain bike rims ( and I bought a new set of tire irons!).

These tires at $45 are a steal. These are my go to tires front and rear for XC. I have put thousands of miles on them and never had any issues, fast enough to race road bikers on paved/gravel and grippy enough for moderate technical trails and mud. Some reviewers complaining about not being able to sit the tire on the rim and giving them a bad rating?. That's a problem with not knowing what you are doing, not a problem with the tire, just Google how to do it, it just needs a bit of soapy water and a compresor or a CO2 cartridge. It takes literally two minutes if you have the tools and know the procedure.

I ordered. 29x 2.25 Rocket Ron. What I got was 29x2.00. Since the box said 29x 2.25 I didn’t realize it until I put the tire on the bike. It was very clearly NOT what I ordered. Unfortunately, I didn’t install the new tire within the warranty period so I am stuck with it. The tire is the first tire that I have ever seen without any sidewall markings at all what so ever. I suspect this is a knockoff and not a true Schwalbe. I have always ridden Schwalbe and are generally the best quality. I will go back to dedicated bike websites or LBS in the future.

Excelente agarre en todo tipo de terreno (XC y trail), sin embargo esa cualidad se debe a que su compuesto Addix es muy blando y por tanto el desgaste de la cubierta es notoriamente rápido, parece que es el sello de Schwalbe.La Rocket Ron de Schwalbe, es de las mejores decisiones si la quieres llevar en la llanta delantera ya que tiene un excelente agarre en todo terreno, poca resistencia a la rodadura y el desgaste es más lento y le puedes sacar mayor provecho a sus cualidades.Yo no la volvería a usar en la llanta trasera, tiene mucha resistencia a la rodadura en terrenos duros, se pincha con facilidad y el punto debíl por lo que nunca la recomendaría en la llanta trasera, es su desgaste. Fue impresionante cómo en dos frenadas en descensos se desgastó una cubierta nueva. Uno fue en terreno duro y suelto (se llevo la mitad de 3 tacos de la línea de rodamiento) y la otra frenada fue en descenso en pavimento dónde se llevó por completo 3 tacos de la línea de rodamiento.Sin duda las cubiertas Scwalbe tienen muy buen agarre, y son un excelente opción si tu bolsillo lo permite, pero si no quieres andar cambiando frecuentemente tus cubiertas, no las recomendaría.Yo he usado siempre la Schwalbe Rocket Ron 29x2.25 Addix Performance Line, pienso que la línea Evolución es muy costosa si no vas a competir, aunque dicen que con el SnakeSkin se disminuye el desgaste.Yo prefiero probar la CrossKing Black Chili Compound de Continental a gastar en la SnakeSkin.
