These books are fantastic. So much historical detail. The characters are expertly drawn and the storylines make them difficult to put down.

Working through the whole series, only having read one before, hadn't realised before they're all following Bruno, but that's good!I alternate between one of these books and a sci-fi book, otherwise I'm sure I'd start following behavior patterns from Tudor period! M'Lady :-)

HAVING READ THE FIRST BOOK I WAS HUNGRY FOR MORE!! I BOUGHT. THE BOX SET AS IT WAS EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY, AND WORTH GETTING A SECOND COPY OF THE FIRST BOOK AS IT STILL WORKED OUT CHEAPER THAN BUYING THE REMAINING 4 INDIVIDUALLY!I HAVEN'T YET STARTED READING BOOK 2 BUT IF IT GRIPS ME AS MUCH AS THE FIRST I AM SURE I WILL BE VERY HAPPY!IF YOU LIKE HISTORICAL FICTIONAL MYSTERY THIS IS FOR YOU. I AM AN AVID HISTORY BUFF, SO ANYTHING FICTIONAL MUST BE FACTUALLY ACCURATE TO KEEP MY ATTENTION AND THIS DID

Fantastic value and swift delivery. Like many I’m needing more books to get me though lockdown and this series just fits the ticket. Enjoyable read, with an element of detective work set amongst the intrigue of Elizabethan England.

Just started no 4 in the series. Thoroughly enjoying them. Good value bundle.

Enjoyed the first book by SJ Parris - Execution so decided to read more. They are brilliant.

easy to read but whilst similar to Shardlake series by C J Sanson they are not as good a read
