Q: Can you use essential oils with this unit?

We do not recommend using essential oils with our humidifiers. We use food-grade BPA-free ABS plastic, which is not really resistant to some of the essential oils. I hope this answers.

Q: How does this compare with the miro that lights up different colors?

The biggest difference between NR07G and NR08M is how to control the humidifier. NR07S model has a simple dial controller that you can adjust humidity level and power. NR08M has a touch control panel that gives you more options to control your humidifier, such as timer function and LED light setting(cycle, fix the favorite color, no light, and mute) I hope this answers your questions.

Q: Does this have any lights that would show in a dark room? I'm looking for a humidifier that doesn't light up at all.

This model(NR07S and NR07G) has no LED light IN in the unit. I hope this helps. Thank you.
