Best Boat for the money.
I bought this boat from Amazon.com. I ordered it on August 1st and received it via Freight carrier two days later. Boat came from Tennesse to Nebraska. I was very happy with the service. The Freight Company driver was very helpful. This boat is amazing. I have a Minn-Kota 50lb thrust and a Suzuki 2.5 4 stroke outboard motor. Both work great with this boat. It is very stable. I love that I can get into close quarters. I can get to where other bass fishermen cannot. I have the trolling motor for moving around, if the wind comes up or I need to get back to shore quickly, I crank up the 2.5 horse Suzuki 4 stroke. You cannot go wrong with this neat boat.I love fishing alone, or with my 8 year old grandson. If I am alone, I can use my feet to slide my one chair back to the gas motor, or up front to the Minn-Kota trolling motor. I have balanced out the weight of the boat and it is awesome. Plenty of room, and easy to put in the back of my 2010 Dodge Big Horn 4 door, or I have a utility trailer, I can put it on. I can unload this myself. Put on the trolling motor and the Suzuki 2.5hp gas motor in a snap. Throw in the tackle box, my two poles. I am gone fishing. I can be in the water and out of the water very quickly. I use this on ponds, and small lakes. I give this five stars. I have had aluminum boats of various sizes, and this boat is the bomb. Buy it you will enjoy it for years to come.

Great little boat!
We made one minor adjustment to our purchase. After using the boat a couple of times, my husband used additional rivets to better secure the upper section to the lower section of the boat. It's proved to be the perfect little boat for our camping trips because we are still able to pull the travel trailer while transporting the Sun Dolphin Sportsman in the back of the pick-up. It's a great boat for the two of us retired folks!

I ordered the boat on 08 April, 2012 and received it about 16 days later. To my surprise it was delivered in a Sprinter Van and both the boat and the pallet were up on their sides instead of laying flat. Never-the-less, it was still in impeccable condition (Other than a minor, superficial scratch in the hull. No big deal even for one who suffers from O.C.D. like I do). I've had it on a lake (Puddingstone Resivoir) once. Here's is what you need to know: If you go fishing like I did, invest in an anchor. The breeze blew me around and I was going back and forth to the trolling motor to stay away from some hazards. A 30 lb. thrust trolling motor may seem inadequate. It was comfortable enough for me (a 5'8" 145 lb. guy) with two rods and my tackle but it would be very questionable sharing an 8'6" space with another fisherman. Hmmmmm? I haven't taken it out a 2nd time yet because it's not registered. According to CA law, any motorized boat must be registered even if you take it on one of those privately owned lakes. I'm not going to paddle around with one oar. I just got a response from the DMV 6 weeks after sending in my application for registration which I downloaded from dmv.ca.gov. and just mailed out the $29 registration fee yesterday. So I guess I'll have it back on a lake in 6 more weeks? Overall I think it was a great purchase from Amazon and the boat is surprisingly stable on the water. The High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)seems durable enough. It's light enough for 2 people to carry easily but I have a 4'x 8' utility trailer which I just back into the water and it floats right off. Recommend it I would.

a little small
I like the boat. I have concerns about mounting running lights. Hull material to me is a bit thin to go screwing running lights on. I am curious if any one has tryed to suction mount running lights. The review that states that the boat is small for two people is correct. My wife and I are a bit cramped. We have been able the adjust to the size. KL Industries was very helpful when I needed help finding the boat ID number. Shipping is a concern. I had to drive 7 miles from my home to pick up the boat. The driver would not make a curb side delivery. That point was a pain. I have a 40 lbs. Thrust Mincota motor and it handles the boat well. The wind is a factor that I did not notice in my 15 ft. canoe. The boat os great in shallow water. we had no problems where larger boats were rubbing the bottom. Amazon was great in helping me get the best price. You can't beat Amazon Prime. This is an up dated review. I have changed my rating of the boat from a 5 to 1 star.I used this boat twice this summer. Both times the water was calm and the skies were sunny. This fall I went to store the boat I drained a large amount of water from within the hull. There was much more than would be expected from condensation. I was at a loss for why the boat would take on so much water. On our small 4-hour trips, the boat carried two people, life jackets, the trolling motor, and battery. I do not believe that the boat was over loaded. After draining all the water, I looked under the vinyl bumper strip. That was a big surprise. The boat is a clamshell design. Holding the top and bottom together is a soft sealant and staples every three to four inches. The sealant does not form a continuous seal. The staples were beginning to rust. The boat was stored in side when not in use and drained after each trip. The last trip was just before storing it for the winter.A better design would be to thermo seal the seam between the two parts. I regret this purchase. I should have paid the extra money and shipping for a Pelican.
