Haden Boston Toaster - Electric Stainless-Steel Toaster with Reheat and Defrost Functions - 685-815W, Two Slice, Cream - CE27

I bought this to replace my (very expensive) Smeg toaster that konked out on me shortly after the warranty ended (to my great annoyance). I was not willing to pay the eye watering price tag again and found this Haden retro style toaster. Really, really pleased with it (wish I had bought it in the first place) and great value for money. Looks great, works great, my bread is evenly toasted, very happy and will look to buy other products from Haden as I'm impressed :)

Most importantly it fits two full size slices of Warburtons toastie (horizontally) and toasts both sides evenly. It looks nice, however it feels much more light and flimsy than I'd have hoped.Overall happy with the purchase as it seems very difficult to get a toaster that fits a full slice of bread and cooks it evenly.

After reading numerous toaster reviews we went for this one.We made a good choice with this.Toast is always equally toasted.My daughter does her bagels and crumpets with no issues.We put this away after using it, hence why we opted for a smaller toaster this time, easy to clean with a crumb tray.Highly recommended.

Neat little toaster, toasts evenly, knobs/levers all look good and work well, stylish. British brand, I was hoping it would have been made in UK but after a lot of scrutiny found a tiny Made in China label🙄. Not for larger slices of bread. Otherwise great toaster.

Looks nice, easy to use. Takes Braces Wholemeal Classic slices sideways. It doesn’t brown evenly, outside slices darker than center ones, but not enough to have to turn round and put back in, it’s acceptable but in my opinion should be in the cheaper price range. I agree with previous reviewers in all toasters why is it so difficult to make a machine that toasts correctly.

It took a while to find a decent replacement for my old Russell Hobbs toaster that lasted for years.I was planning on buying the Russell Hobbs modern replacement, but some indifferent reviews on various websites pointed to the new unit not matching the quality of the original.I decided to spend a little more and thought I'd try the Haden Boston as the build quality looked better and it had favourable reviews on the few websites that mentioned it.It's not the fastest toaster around but it toasts evenly and works well on all the types of bread I've tried.I'm not a large consumer of toasted products ( only use it a couple of days a week ) but when it has been called upon it's always given a great result.

Like a lot of toasters i buy, they are light and sometimes jump about when toast is done, would have also liked a heater rack at the top.

We’ve had several toaster over the years - some were better than others. After installation of a new kitchen we were looking to replace an old toaster. We looked some expensive premium brands. But the reviews of the Haden Boston convinced us to buy one. A decision we’ve not regretted - it’s probably the best toaster we’ve had over a period of 50 years. Highly recommended!
