Easy language for such a complex topic!!
As someone who has to repeat Pharm for nursing school, I highly regret not reading this when I was taking the class. I started to read it in preparation for my next round at Pharm, and the book explains things in a much simpler and clear manner than my professor did!! I really suggest this book!!

Great book
I got this book for a class, but don’t intend on returning it. The information is so helpful and I am able to look up any medication I want more information on. It helps with discharge planning and teaching. The book is worth the price!

Advancement in Pharmacology Across the Life Span Required for Grad School
Overall, I have read many textbooks for Grad school. This particular textbook, provides you with in-depth, thorough, and accurate information on various types of medications. There is a lot more detail provided on medication pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacotherapeutics that we as nurses and providers must know. You will gain a lot of knowledge about medications you commonly see in the clinical-setting, which are mainly the medications you see emphasized on the most. Do not have the expectation, that every medication you see will be delivered in elaboration. In fact, the classifications will be provided and recommendations on prescription requirements are defined. I enjoyed this textbook the most, as it provides thorough reasoning on how culture, ethnicity, genetics influence initiation of certain pharmacological therapy! Very good read! I do wish there was enough time in a course, to learn all this good information.

It discusses more than 2 drugs.
I had a really bad headache and though I should look up the difference between Tylenol and Advil (you always want to know what your taking and why), I might have learned a little more than I bargained for; for example: did you know Tylenol is also called acetaminophen and Advil is also called ibuprofen, just a little shop talk I learned from this bad boy. If I could make a suggestion for the next iteration add more pictures and maybe even a pop-up picture or two. Con: the book is a little wordy if you are just wanting to learn the difference between say acetaminophen and ibuprofen.

LOVE
Used this book for Pharm1 & 2 and I loved it! It gives you all the information you could ever possibly need (aka it is very detailed). It presents the info in a logical order, uses good images, and has key points at the end of each chapter.

Met my needs
This was the book my nursing program required. It was much more affordable then what the school was charging and was exactly what I needed. It was good to work with for the most part.

Good book. Shipped quickly. Has a terrible smell
Book came quickly and looks in excellent condition. Lost a star because while it looks new, it has a gross, moldy smell as if it has been stored somewhere damp for a long time. Anyone have any tips to get rid of this smell?? I’ve been airing it out for weeks.....

Good book!
This textbook is required for my class and is very helpful and has very clear and concise information that is easily understood. Although the font is very small, it is still a great book for understanding pharmacology as a nurse.
