Grover Rocket Stove is great efficient wood cooking stove that can be used for cooking for camping, hunting, emergency preparedness or any recreational outdoor activities. It uses very little wood, which could be found in places at campgrounds where the bigger pieces are already taken and used. Have it ready in times of disasters or whatever the circumstance might be where your gas or electricity is turned off. With the design of the Grover Rocket Stove it makes it a very efficient cooking stove. It is made of steel and has perlite insulation inside which keeps the heat concentrated up the center pipe. The outside of the stove is painted with high 1200 degree F. temperature paint. To get started you can feed your dry pieces wood into it at the top and then also on the 90 degree pipe side above the tongue. As the fire begins to burn air will come underneath the tongue. You can easily push in the wood every few minutes and stick in new pieces in the side when needed once the fire gets going. You can cook any of your favorite meals as you would on any stove top. With just some twigs, small branches, or a small chopped up 2x4, you can cook a whole meal! If wanting to order from Hawaii and Alaska, please contact us for additional shipping cost before ordering.

Great Fun and Functional Stove
Love this little stove. It is very lightweight, heats up quick, and uses up all the little sticks that are laying around and are useless for the regular wood stove. Burns the sticks down to white ash, most of which blows out through the top - keep a lid on that food! Just a little left after it burns down and easily taken care off. I also like the fact that since you are burning dry sticks and very efficiently, it puts out very little smoke or soot. There was only a little bit of black on the bottom of the pan. The only criticism (if you can call it that) is that when you are cooking outside and it is cold, this guy channels most of its heat into the top burner and so it does not throw off heat like a lot of outdoor cookers, you find yourself huddling pretty close. I did put it up on a stack of cinderblocks to make it more convenient to use while sitting in comfort in a chair, with a bucket of sticks next to me. It would be fabulous in the summer.

Great for Camping or in case of Emergency
Bought this stove to round out our earthquake kit. We took this camping with us last weekend and it worked great! You can search YouTube for demos of the Grover Rocket Stove, and it basically works as advertised, and shown. We decided to go with the Grover stove over competitors, as it is fully machined metal, so very rugged, and it is lighter that others we saw, at only 10 lbs. The only caution for this Rocket Stove is that once it gets hot, it is too hot to pick up and move with your bare hands. You need to let it cool, about 15 min, before handling and pouring out the coals. We are now comforted to know we'll be able to efficiently cook with wood, for fun, or if there is an emergency that limits access to other fuel.

Great!
The stove arrived undamaged. I was concerned at first because the seam down the front and down the inside was not visibly welded, as shown in some online videos. This didn't affect how it worked, which was wonderful. I tried it out and was able to heat a quart of water in a teakettle pretty quickly, then another kettle full, and then heat up a dessert - all with 2 sticks and some wood chips! I used some paper and a few small sticks down the throat to start it, as recommended. Of course it smoked at first but soon the smoke went away as the fire burned hot. Very efficient and easy compared to making a little fire sheltered by bricks.

Disappointing. Still looking for a good one.
I guess looking at the picture I thought it was a nice heavy gage steel product. That is not the case. The chimney pipe is thin like a cheap smoker pit you buy at a grocery store. The handle is a little heavier than wire and difficult to hold on to. Maybe the paint had not cured but it got soft and sticky when we lit it up for the first use. It functioned, but I would say you will need to take very good care of it if you want it to last a few years. I will keep this for a toy while I look for a better made product. It is certainly overpriced for the quality.

Grover Rocket Stove
The Grover Rocket Stove is sturdy, functional and efficient at a decent price. For a few skinny twigs you can cook a full meal in minutes! Minimum amount of smoke and waste. The stove is compact for easy transport, but the size of the stove belies its amazing capacity to cook effectively. It is strong and portable and will last a lifetime as it is built to endure. I would hate to be without this amazing tool! Roll over Rover and let Grover take over.

Exactly what I expected
Sturdy piece of equipment. Arrived on time. I am anxious to check this out this Spring. Would be a five-star purchase except for the price. Still though, competitive with similar stoves.
