Are two poles better than one? With Cruzyo you're in control. Buy 1, 2 or how many you really need. The choice is yours! Most experts would recommend using two poles, especially over the course of a long day hike. But you can use only one if you don't hike more than 5 miles at a time. ✅ Lightweight and Strong Because of the 3K carbon fiber used in the first 4 sections, this pole has 3x more fibers than a standard carbon pole. Oriented in two directions, these fibers are more durable, too. Even if a strand is broken or punctured, its strength will not be compromised. And since the fifth section of a hiking stick is the most likely to get bumped and hit, we opted to craft it out of aircraft grade 7075 aluminum alloy, the best on the market. ✅ Incredible Comfort We integrated natural cork grip into the ergonomically shaped handle. By improving sweat absorption, decreasing vibration and conforming comfortably to the shape of your hand, this walking stick is seriously comfortable to use even on the longest, most strenuous walks and hikes. Moreover, our hiking pole uses an adjustable padded wrist strap that prevents hand injuries after long hours of hiking. ✅ Versatile Engineering Use it in any season or terrain. Our (1 piece) walking pole includes baskets for mud or snow, rubber tip protector and Nordic Walking paw. Perfect for this 85 year old walker.
I am 85 and just finished my first 1 mile walk with the Cruzyo Trekking Pole today. The last time I completed this walk without the pole I was tired and having a problem controlling my speed when going downhill. I wound up falling forward on the road. That's why I decided I needed a walking pole. I checked out the many available walking poles and decided first on an aluminum pole with twist locks. Before actually using, I returned the two aluminum poles because I was having trouble unlocking when changing the length with the twist locks. I did more searching and settled on the Cruzyo. With the Cruzyo today my walk was well controlled both uphill and downhill and I was not tired at the end. I could have gone farther and will during the next walk. The Cruzyo is very light and is easy to unlock and to change lengths for uphill and downhill roads while I walk. I have had no problem breaking it down to a very small length or reassembling to a full length. There are zillions of walking/hiking poles on Amazon. I am certain that there are other perfectly good ones out there. However, I am totally satisfied with the Cruzyo and highly recommend it for older walkers (and younger ones also). I was 5'9" in my younger days but have "shrunk" to about 5'7" now. I chose the shorter of the two Cruzyo's and it works well for me. There are lots of charts online to help you decide on which of the two lengths to choose.Update: March 28,2018 Received my second Crizyo today. With both walking poles I decided to go for 2 miles. Made it easily on a neighborhood road that has several hills. Could not have done it without the walking poles. I am still playing around with different rubber tips. Used the ones that came on the poles today. In my 1 mile walk on the 26th, I used a big round knobby one that I had ordered. I will probably go with the rubber tip that came on the poles unless they wear too fast.

Easy to assemble & disassemble
Quite honestly, this staff has surprised me. I purchased one to use as a general purpose hiking stick and it is performing beyond expectations. Its hard to find a take-down vertical grip staff of quality construction and sold in singles. I don't need two ;) I wanted to avoid the twist lock style as they have given me trouble in the cold Wyoming winter temperatures. The engineering in this Cruzyo is rather ingenious. Easy to assemble & disassemble. The assembled structural integrity seems very good to me so far and the light weight is a joy. The cork grip works well and the grip strap easily accommodates winter gloves. The various tip accessories are a nice touch as is the little carry bag. I look forward to the summer season when this staff will accompany me on my canoe trips - the primary reason I wanted a take-down stick. Overall this staff is an extraordinary value given its price point. It is very easy to give this product a solid 5 star rating.

Great Value for a Quality Trekking Pole
I've been doing scouting on public land for hunting spots for this fall, and the place I've been recently is very swampy. Bought one of these on a whim because I figured it would help traversing terrain I've never been to before. To say I'm completely pleased with my purchase is a tremendous understatement.First off, the 53" pole expands to a size large enough that I can use it as a walking stick. Its plenty light; I was able to lift it by the handle and hold it out like a sword without any issues or discomfort. The mud cap end worked great feeling out uncertain spots to make sure I had good footing.During my 2+ mile trek though high grass, soggy terrain and sometimes dense cover the pole performed wonderfully. I never had any hesitation placing weight on the pole to pull myself through several dense areas, and I was able to use it to probe for sure ground in waste high thick grass surrounded by swamp and water. And the best part was, as mentioned before I was able to hold it out like a sword to clear some unexpected natural issues: Banana Spider Webs! I encountered quite a few covering the trails, and while these things are mostly harmless their web is known for its strength and theres nothing fun about getting wrapped up in thick silky web.I'm well aware that you can spend $200 easily on a pair that I'm sure would hold up to a random attack of roving ninjas, but I can't say enough good things about this one.

I love that there is just one lever for height adjustments ...
This is very simple to set up! I love that there is just one lever for height adjustments which makes for simple to use! Great for all around use! Being a light weight carbon fiber pole, I worry a bit about it breaking which is different from my aluminum poles. But if not moving along rough terrain, I think this fills the needs! I plan to use it for general vacation tourism...like "The Path of the Gods", "Cinque Terre" etc, where the pole will not get abused!

This pole worked great on the Continental Divide!
Shortly after receiving this Cruzyo pole I used it on a seventeen mile hike in the Never Summer Wilderness in CO. Up Bowen Gulch, across the Divide, and down past Parika Lake through Baker Gulch. It rained most of the time and in places this route was very steep, rocky and or rooty and included about four stream crossings and several log bridges. I used this pole throughout and it did great, helping my stability a great deal. I am 6'4", 225# and had no problems with it supporting me - though I was careful not to let it get bent against a rock. I was almost blown off Parika Pass and the pole was an essential outrigger to prevent that flight. I also had occasion to contact Cruzyo and there were quick responses to my questions - so great customer service, too. As a former A.T. thru-hiker I am impressed with the quality of the pole, and it looks great, too. :)

My wife loves them
Got two for my wife who loves to walk but sometimes has balance problems. I also got two for me. She uses one walking around the neighborhood and two on uneven ground. The tips wear out, so we had to purchase replacement ones after a while, but there are lots of options at a reasonable price. The only problem is the pole will shorten if it gets leaned on too hard. If you use it as a walking pole it works just fine.
