Initially this didn't work and i gave it a poor review which I have now edited to reflect the final result. I contacted Niko, the vendor, who offered to replace it, but it transpired to be my problem. I had used an unscreened USB extension cable and my problem was caused by interference. Once fixed [I used the longer of the two cables supplied, with spare length rolled up behind the dashboard], it works very well. So if you buy one of these, use the cable that comes with it!The camera is quite discreet, and I mounted it behind the mirror. This does cause some reflection of the dashboard, but not enough to cause a problem. I may get a polaroid filter so the clips become good enough to put on the web, but it's not necessary for normal use. A camera position that allowed it to look through the glass less obliquely would be better, but I couldn't arrange this in my car.I fitted the recorder in a small cubby hole in the centre console, and with some 'junk' in front of it, it cannot be seen. The wiring is nearly all hidden too.My only [minor]criticism of the unit is that there is no provision for a fixed mounting of the recorder. It would be easy for the manufacturer to add a couple of keyhole mounting slots on its base.
