To be sure, this is a novelty purchase. I will be using this for D&D with friends and it is a luxury item not necessary for playing the game. That being said, the quality and craftsmanship is breathtaking. As far as the functionality, the size is perfect, and it insures a completely random roll of dice with a satisfying reverberation. The fit and finish is gorgeous. There is also sufficient space between the tower and tray to slip a microfiber or paper towel in between to keep it from scratching when being stored or transporting. Souza must have used a pint of whatever finish he put on this thing. It should protect it for very many years. The walnut is beautiful and perfectly beveled and joined.Hopefully this tower will improve my rolls because up until this point they have been less than stellar.The cost. Price point is near perfect for what you get. Even maybe a deal. No regrets whatsoever. Also take into consideration how few people offer something with this type of quality anymore. We live in a "made in China" world where cheap and fast is popular. I would rather pay for quality things made with love and skill.Thank you Mr. Souza for your product and contribution to the gaming world.

I was surprised and extremely pleased with this purchase. The dice tower and tray is really a beautiful, well-crafted piece of woodwork. I've seen other dice towers and this one is pretty much on par with, if not, the best of all the dice towers on the market.When I brought it for the first time to play D&D with my friends, there was a round of 'ooohs' and 'aaahs' around the table. Everyone was impressed (and jealous) of it. They all took turns using it for their rolls, it was pretty hilarious. Totally worth the price I paid, I will enjoy this for a very long time.

I am so glad I decided to spend the extra money on this dice tower. To begin with, I bought the tower because I was looking for a simple tower, not one that looked like a cheesy castle. Though it was significantly more expensive than others, I am fully happy with it. It is solidly constructed and works great. Even the underside of the tray has felt on it which surprised me, so it sits nicely on a surface without scratching it. II am totally happy with every penny I spent.

Anyone interested is a beautifully crafted, well made dice tower need look no further. The finish on the wood is gorgeous. It rolls dice without any problems. Very sturdy and well put together. Excellent craftsmanship. What more can be said? It is well worth every penny, and I highly recommend it!!

The craftsmanship and attention to detail is what sets this tower apart from all of the rest. As a woodworker I thought about building my own but in hindsight I couldn't be more pleased with the product.I have used the Tower heavily for a couple of months now and it is still in perfect condition. I was nervous about the price but ran into some cash and decided to splurge. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to be the hip guy/gal at their gaming sessions.Rolls are well randomized and the catch bottom is a good height that promotes visibility without allowing dice to spill everywhere. Rolls all dice without issue including d4's, metal dice, and small foam dice.Souza should be damn proud of how well made this item is and I would recommend it over any of the others one, it isn't even in the same class.

The workmanship on this tower is amazing, the finish is glossy and beautiful, inside the tower is felt lined so that it mutes the random sound of dice, and the tower fits in the tray for easy storage. Outstanding dice tower.

Although the cost of this item $59.95 is a bit steep, it is definitely worth it if you are a gamer like myself. Product is well made and beautiful to behold, a proud edition to any game table, the finish is beautifully done, the felt lining is excellent and the dice just tumble so smoothly and quietly that you could probably play with this tower right next to a sleeping person and not disturb them.

There aren't too many times when you order something and what you receive just blows you away with how well the item is put together - this was one of those times for me. Crafted and finished beautifully, this dice tower is hands down so much better than all of the others you can currently get on Amazon. Costing about $30-40 more than other balsa wood towers which are incredibly cheap quality, I feel like that little bit of extra makes all of the difference here.If you're on the fence between buying a cheaper one and one of Souza's, spend the extra and get something that is going to last you for years.These dice towers are the slat-style ones. I'd love to see a similar hardwood option for a pachinko-style dice tower as well - or a hybrid of slat and pachinko styles - even if it were more expensive. Shut up and take my money :D
