My Doctor Approves!
I have been having heart 'flutters' that have increased in intensity the last few months. My GP had me wear a Holter monitor for 2 days, and that showed my 'regular irregular' heartbeat, plus another possible condition. He then referred me to a cardiologist. At my visit to him, I found out my test results had not been sent to him (although I was told they were). I brought up my graphs on the ECG app and he could see the regular irregular heart beats. He approved the device as being accurate. I do know that it does not show everything, but it does a good job of showing heart beats. The instructions for use of this gizmo are not exactly user friendly - it is the usual Chinese to English translation by someone who really does not speak English well. That is the only dislike I have of the unit. I have the app downloaded to my tablet and my phone and can see the result of all the tests I have saved, regardless of which unit I used. You do have to have Bluetooth to use it, BTW.I wish there were a way to attach it to my chest so that I could start a recording faster. You need to have the app up and also have the device connected to Bluetooth, so it takes a few seconds. Unless I have having a long fluttering event, I don't have time to get things going to actually record it. I would love to see what one looks like!

Inaccurate
It works IF you use the older app version, however it has too much electrical "noise" to be useful. Or in terms common to ecg/ekg it has too many "artifacts" in the captured traces to be of any use other than raw heart rate. Tried on various people, in various locations - same results. If you hold your breath, stay absolutely still with uniform pressure on fingertips - it still goes haywire at times - providing false readings - or it just always seems to have false signal pulses between an ending T and the next P. Often with extremely exaggerated T wave too. I returned it.

SnapECG is a very helpful device!
I’m a nurse who has been having irregular heart rhythms, so I got this gizmo to monitor my rhythm periodically. I carry it taped to the back of my phone for rapid access. It works remarkably well, despite the difficulty getting an artifact-free baseline on the ekg strip. It’s still good enough to determine what my rate and rhythm are: normal, atrial fibrillation, PVCs, PACs, etc. I’m thrilled! It gives a lead I as described, but if you use right hand and left toe, then you can also get a lead II of a standard 12-lead EKG.Also, contrary to some of the negative comments, you can get anywhere from 30 sec to continuous recordings. All recordings are stored in the app history, and all can be messaged or emailed. I definitely recommend it!

NOT FDA CLEARED
I ordered this product because it looked like a bargain versus the advertised brand. My doctor then told me that this one was not cleared by the FDA. The company says it's "working on it." Not sure if this is related to some of the comments about inaccuracy, but I can't rationalize buying a medical device that's not cleared. Surprising Amazon allows it to be sold.

Works fine, but pairing instructions in manual are incorrect.
Initially, while following the pairing directions on p. 12 of the manual, I could not get the device to pair with my phone or tablet. I sent an email to support and within an hour received back a response with different pairing directions that worked. The manual says to use the phone/tablet Bluetooth page to pair with the device. This will not work. The correct way is to start the device, and then press record in the app and the Bluetooth connection will automatically start. The battery that was installed in the device when I opened the box was dead. There was, however, a spare battery in the box that was good. Support offered to pay me for a replacement battery. In general I was very impressed with the quick and professional email support I received. One of the nice things about this version of the product is that no subscription or account is required to save a history on the phone/tablet or to email the results. Other versions (Alivecore) requires a subscription ($10/month) to save history or to email results.

My doctor said it could be a lifesaver
My aunt was having palpitations, but usually by the time we went to ER, they've disappeared. This makes it very difficult to diagnose or treat, fluttery heartbeat could not be caught by EKG, our cardiologist was at a loss..The minute she had palpitations we used this device which came back with a 'Possible abnormal heart rate' diagnosis and indicated a high heart rate. We emailed the results to our doctor and we also went to the ER just to be on the safe side. The definitive diagnosis was A-FIB, which would not have been caught unless we were able to do an EKG during an episode. Our Cardiologist confirmed from the printout that she do indeed have A-FIB and has started treatment. He said this gadget could very well have saved her life. Very impressive. If a problem is detected, it can make the difference between life and death, by indicating the need for quick, immediate medical attention. It's like getting a second opinion of what you're feeling. With the ability to immediately connect to medical personnel it can actually save your life!

Ideal for monitoring intermittent incidences
I needed a method to monitor my heart rhythm and this product allowed me to take EKG that could be sent on to my physician for diagnosis. The recordings were clear and accurate. Cheaper than going to the doctors and getting an EKG!I had a technical problem when I was measuring in the first time, the tracking seemed not 'pure' enough. I wrote to the seller, and they replied with troubleshooting and solved the problem immediately. I needed to keep breathing smooth when capturing my heart rhythm. they suggested using it in a quiet place (eg. bedroom) cause some electronic wave from high-power electrical appliances may disturbed my EKG trackings. The tracings were of surprisingly good quality and should be very easy for your physician to interpret. One complained they were from China with broken English, but I did't feel any uncomfortable in communications, nothing wrong with Chinese doing business under American supervision. I only care about the product and it's totally worth the price, buy it!
