Too basic to be of much value.
In addition let me evaluate your Amazon approach to a survey. As the reviewer, I will decide how many words to use. Sounds like your reviews are for children!

With Server so cheap, why not set up your own? This book will help...
Only four stars simply because this really doesn't take you behind the scenes of ML Server - but if you've ever wanted to run your own dedicated server, Apple's Mountain Lion Server is hard to beat at $20 and this book should be purchased along with Server if you're new to Mac servers. It's an excellent beginner's guide - and offers some useful tips to those who might be upgrading from older versions of Apple's server software.

If it were a perfect World ... But its not
Might be the perfect book for a perfect world. But things aren't perfect in OSX Server land, and when things go awry (which they will) it doesn't matter how dumb (or smart) you are, the book is no help.

A helpful book for a OS X Mountain Lion Server new-bee.
I found this book to be helpful in setting up a new Mac Mini with OS X Mountain Lion Server. It answered several questions I had in fairly simple language. It also discussed topics I hadn’t even thought about. I was a little disappointed it didn’t cover remote setup and management more as this was an area I had limited experience with. I did however get my server up and running and the book was definitely a help.

Better than most Dummies books
A reasonably simple and comprehensive technical guide to a potentially complex product. Would suit someone trying to set up a server in a small business. Just the use of the mail server with an iOS device would pay for the book.

not worth buying
you won't learn much in this book; it is far too expensive.I am a beginner with Mac OS X Mountain Lion Server and was looking for some basic help to configure it, but this books has nothing, neither basic clear explanations with examples nor advanced content...

Very good guidance
Great to follow as continues read or just for reference on specific module. I have it on my common task library

Not for me
I think the author was in too much of a hurry to bring out the book and should not have tried to rely so much on his previous versions as there is much new in Server App 2.2 which needs explaining as the simple UI covers a multitude of complexity so you need a clear idea of the designers' intentions. Personally I found much confusing and unclear in this book. The Apple documentation is itself lamentable. Most online documentation and discussions are outdated. A better - indeed about the only authoritative - insight can be obtained (at greater cost) from the Peachpit book which bided its time until the OS X Server App was at a production status (v2.2) with explanatory exercises and examples. Sorry to be negative. This one not for me.

Not really for dummies
Not for the current version of Mountain Lion - not sure if the small changes make a difference. Does not explain all of the features clearly and assumes all works first time. It doesn't. I am no further to configuring server than before I bought the book.
