This vacuum sealer is the easiest to use of any I have tried. I like it so well I gifted ones to each of my kids for Christmas, and they are all using them frequently.

I had an old Name Brand that had integrated bag feeder and cutter. But that died a while ago.This is a fraction of the cost and works very well. It's just a little more difficult to manage the poly bags.

Simple, portable, efficient. Has outlasted my other major brand item, cheaper more dependable. Doesn't look fancy, but sure does work.

I’ve only used the Koios food vac a few times so far. I had only used Food Savers up until now. I was pretty tired of spending a lot for a product that didn’t last very long, so I decided to switch to another brand.Pros about the KOIOS:1. The model I got takes up very little counter space. That was important to me.2. I can use all my leftover supply of Food Saver bags with the KOIOS, as well as the accessory hose with my Food Saver jars.3. It seems to do the job well.4. Much less expensive than the Food Saver.5. It has a one-year warranty. Time will tell how well the company will honor that if needed.Cons about the KOIOS:1. Having to press down on both sides of the vac to lock it before use is a bit of a pain. I’m getting used to it quickly but I wonder if that is a feature that will eventually break.2. I noticed after I bought this that the well inside is not removable for cleaning. That might be an issue.I don’t need the cutter that comes with the vac because I have a much better one, so I can’t speak to how easy or hated that might be to use.All in all I’m hopeful that this product meets my needs.

You can spend big bucks on a fancy machine that may or may not perform like the Koios. This is the best vacuum sealer I have ever purchased! It is also one of the easiest to use. Believe it or not, there is a technique to packaging your food before sealing to ensure an airtight package. Over packaging and not leaving a small space at the bottom of your bag can affect vacuum efficiency. Also, if you make your own bags from a roll, you have a greater chance of not getting a good vacuum and seal. After I purchased pre cut bags, I found I had very few failures. I only use my rolls now for very large items. I was thinking of purchasing another sealer as a backup and was very dismayed by the neg reviews. Take those with a grain of salt! Watch some videos on packaging techniques. You'll be surprised at how much better your vacuum sealer performs!

This is one of the best kitchen appliance I've ever gotten! I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to get one as it's helped me saved so much on wasted food. I was throwing away so much food in the past since I could never consume what I bought in time, especially produce. Meat was even worst because ziplock bags don't prevent freezer burn aftertaste! Decided to try this out and it's been working great. Extremely simple to operate, compact, and uses any vacuum seal bag. All you have to do is seal one end of the bag, place whatever in it, then pump away. There's a dry (anything dry) and wet (anything with moisture even a little) option. Haven't had any issues with the unit since I've got, and the times when the bag didn't do a complete seal was basically my fault. I've used it for almost everything so far: left over meat, dry goods, hard root veggies, beans etc. The best part of owning this sealer is that I can buy Costco meat as a single person!

I bought this vacuum sealer to replace an old foodsaver I bought circa 2011. I was looking to get a newer foodsaver model - since my old one endured years of heavy duty work - but I was discouraged by some of the reviews I read about their newer machines and the price tag, so I decided to give this one a try and I' glad I did!The first thing I noticed is how small and lightweight the unit is. While it can handle big bags, the unit itself is quite small and can easily be stored without taking up much space.The suction power is great for such a small machine. I put some popcorn kernels in a bag to put the suction and the sealing to the test... it did a great job! Although the seal on the bag seemed weaker (by weaker I mean thinner) it has been close to a week and no air has gotten through the bag. I have yet to test it on moist food, but I am sure it will do well. The only downside is that it doesn't have a drip tray inside of the machine like my old foodsaver had, but I can live with that.Although it is a budget machine, it does have some pretty nice extra features. Inside of the unit there is a little bag cutter hand-held tool and it came with a hose attachment and some replacement "foams" in there too.Another plus is that they are adding a free 2-year extended warranty which I think none of the other ones in that price range are doing right now. Would definitely recommend!

I have used a Vacu Seal for 12 years. it finally gave out. We decided to try this brand sole on price and the better ratings. Some of the low ratings almost scared me off but thought we would gamble. It was boxed nicely and fit the footprint of our old vacuum seal. It is a lot shorter and more compact since there is no room to store a roll. That did not matter since we buy our bags pre-made from amazon. About the bags, it will not vaccum any bag that does not have the dimples on one side. We had some that didn't have the dimples and it wold not vacuum. The tray where the moist product goes does not remove unlike the VS. However I feel like this makes me clean it as I use it. The VS had a tray that was somewhat hidden and i would procrastinate and not clean it every time. So I think the Koi's will be more sanitary.All we can do now is see if it will last a long time. It works well for my wife and myself. it did come with an extra seal and a tube to vacuum our canisters.
