I laid this stuff down generously in some bald spots in the fall and by spring the grass had fully grown in!This is that thin tall grass that get limp though .

This did not work at all. I applied as directed and have consistently watered the spots and it has not grown at all. The contents of the bag seem to still be laying on the ground!

Probably the easiest way to grow lawn. I've used this in the past. It is pricey for large areas, but it grows great and is resistant to run off in hard rain. Only downside besides price is that even if you think you've spreaded it evenly, it will still likely grow a bit spotty, but it should fill in over time.

Heard many stories of people not being able to grow grass, but then I read the instructions and did exactly that. I watered in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening and repeated this for weeks! You MUST rake up the dirt, remove dead grass, REALLY get into the dirt. I soaked my dead patches of grass dirt for a couple of days prior to applying the product. Took over 2 weeks to even see growth. I live in SC, coastal and the dirt is mainly clay or sandy. I did not replace the dirt. Anyway, watering is key! Thank you SCOTTS for a nice product, my grass is beautiful!

I had great success with Scott's EZ patch repair, sun and shade; but insteading of buying another 10 lb bag for my sandy soil, I opted for this bag as it was on sale.To put things into perspective, the areas that I placed the EZ patch on started growing nicely very quickly. After almost 2-3 weeks, the Lawn repair started budding new grass. I eventually bought more of the EZ patch repair and once again, started seeing fast results. In my opinion, the EZ repair is the better deal, even though it's a bit more costly and still not perfect, you'll start getting the results in less time with Lawn repair alone.

This is not the same as a few years ago mixture and you have to put far more down than before. Before, you would add water and the recycling material would spread, covering more space, this just clumps in the spot.
