Awesome costume- my son LOVES it!
I got this for my 10 year old son and it was exactly what he wanted and then some! I love the realistic "robe" and he was really wowed by the glowing eyes. I was really impressed that they fade on and off, super creepy, especially in the dark! The glasses that allow for glowing eyes under the hood could use some reengineering: for example, they pushed into my son's face a little uncomfortably and the battery pack has nowhere to rest, which pulls the glasses down. Maybe I missed a trick there, but it seems to me that could be solved pretty simply by adding pockets to the robe. We had to feed the wire down his sleeve and secure it to his wrist. Even with this small issue, the cost and quality of this costume still deserves 5 stars! My son is a tad thinner and a tad taller than average and I was thrilled with the fit of a size 12-14.

Fun costume
Just received my son costume today. I have a 10 year old in the 5th grade. I was torn and not sure what size to go with but ended up going with the large. I’m super happy I did because it fits him perfectly! My son is prob shy of 5 ft to put it in perspective. The bottom of the costume is half an inch from touching the ground but it looks dope. Super stoked that it worked out.

Uncomfortable glowing lights glasses, but otherwise decent quality
It seems that most of the reviews focus on the glasses. They are uncomfortable for me, but my son says that they aren't bad. If you're wondering how the glasses light up and your kids can still see out - the lights are attached to the bottom of the glasses, so if you're wearing glasses, the lights would be on your cheeks. Like some of the other reviews, the left light is not as bright as the right light, but mine wasn't that noticeable. Just slightly less bright. The wire and battery holder attached to the glasses is a little bit cumbersome because the wire is rather thick and the battery holder will have to fit into your kid's pocket. I believe the wire is long enough to reach pants, but I suppose a pocketed shirt would be better.Size run a little small for the body part of the costume, but the mask is roomy. My son wears size 10/12 clothes and the large fits him just right. It's one piece, with the face part covered with a translucent black cloth. I'm not sure how well my son will see out of it at night, so I would highly recommend a flashlight. The mask/headpiece fit me and it was actually quite comfortable. It didn't make me sweat like most masks out there, and I was able to breathe freely. In the package is the mask/headpiece, the glasses with the glowing lights, gloves, the body of the costume, a piece of matching black cloth for the belt. There is NO sickel and NO boots. Those must be purchased separately.Happy Halloween!

I had read reviews saying that it fit small so I went up to a size 12-14 and I'm really glad that I did
I purchased this for my 8 year old son - who normally wears a size 8-10. I had read reviews saying that it fit small so I went up to a size 12-14 and I'm really glad that I did! It fits perfectly. He really loves this costume! The hood allows him to see out but not for us to see his face - so it looks "spooky". He also loves the glasses. We were glad that the cord from the battery pack to the glasses was long enough for him to put the battery part in a pouch under the robe - tucked away. All in all, a fun costume!

My Grandson Loved It!
When we shopped the Amazon site together, my almost 10-year old grandson was looking for the scariest costume we could find. This one fit the bill. We had been warned from earlier reviews to order a slightly larger size, so the costume fit perfectly in the 12-14 size. He loved the fact that he could see perfectly through the gauzy fabric that is the "face" of the hood and the light-up "eyes" are attached to glasses worn so they balance just like regular glasses but fit just below his eyes so they don't block his view. We ordered the scyth also, and it completes the effect.

Not Bad, But Not Great
I bought this for my 10 year old this Halloween, based on the mostly positive reviews, and also because it was different than what most of his friends were going as.The Good:Simple and sinister. The idea of the glasses is neat. The Bad:The glasses had a short or a broken wire or something, because instead of fading in and out, they kind of sputtered (I don't want to say they flickered, because it didn't really look cool at all), and eventually stopped working. The Not-So-Good-But-Not-So-Bad:I ordered a Large, which is rated as a 12-14. My 10 year old was too tall for it to be real flowing. It covered his arms fine, but the bottom of the robe didn't even get to his ankles, more like mid to lower shin. We compensated with black pants, which, in the dark, took care of the problem. The End Game:The idea is good, but the costume is cut small, and the glasses are a gamble. Seeing that it wasn't on sale, I would say you'd do better going with something else.

You will only disappoint the recipient of the costume, defective, faulty wiring.
My son wanted costume for months, knowing better after reading the reviews I gave in and bought this for him. He was so exited when I ordered it he could hardly wait the two days for Prime shipping. Costume was delivered on time, we opened the box and within minutes my sons excitement turned to disappointment. The fade in/out glasses are very poor in construction... wires are exposed... and they didn't work. We tried several new AA batteries to no avail. I opened up the battery box and the soldering... wow. The wires +/- contacts had solder bridges shorting the two outgoing leads as well as the incoming power. I fixed all the solder joints/contacts in the battery supply, verified power was working as it should then I soldered the outgoing leads back on... still didn't light up. So I opened up the glasses and found the same issues. I went ahead and fixed those, tested everything with my Fluke, powered them back on and they work. My son's excitement was back!I filed a return prior to fixing the costume but for the price, returning is just a waste time and would have just added more disappointment for my son. It doesn't even meet the one star that is required to lease to post this review.
