Absolutely gorgeous grips
The media could not be loaded. These Hogue grips a beautifully figured cocobolo. They feel amazing in hand, installed super fast and easy, and fit like a glove onto my S&W model 57. They are also comfortable to shoot with full power 41 mag loads. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful
Had to do some fitting to get them on my S&W model 25. (N frame square butt )First time I've had to do that and I have installed Houges on some on my other wheel guns.

I want to like these, but too much work at this price point
I know every handgun is different and expected a set of wood grips to take a few minutes of effort to fit properly. However, these grips are so overly tight they will not slip onto my S&W Model 28 Hwy Patrolman. In fact, the grips are so tight the first time I tried to fit the grips they bent the nut retaining clip on the saddle, making it unusable. Without this part there is no way to retain the grips to the revolver. At this price point I expected much better fit and finish. I also expected much better from Hogue, period. I have contacted Hogue's customer service using their contact form, but even if Hogue replaces the saddle I will still need to sand and scrape the grips in order to get them to fit. If I'm going to go through all that I might as well buy 2 slabs of cocobolo and make my own grips. I'm rating this a 2 for now, let's see how Hogue responds.
