Great hold all day, not too stiff and gives you the ability to re-sculpt throughout the day by just running your fingers through your hair. I have thick hair and have no issues getting the hold I need using a very small amount of product. The matte product has just the right amount of shine. I also have sensitive skin and scalp, and this product is one of the FEW that doesn't cause me any troubles/flares/pimples. Organic and not filled with garbage fillers. And the smell is great, like old school cologne and not too strong or overwhelming. In short if you found yourself reading these reviews, just add it to the cart. You will not be disappointed.

This is a high quality pomade. You only have to use a little bit to get a nice hold that feels light in your hair. It smells great as well. Highly recommended this product.

The hold on this product is flexible depending on hair style/amount/water usage. I suggest you play around with either damp hair before applying or dry, while you can optionally add water to the paste pre application for more hold. My photo is of dry fine hair, with a little bit of water added to the pomade before applying. For increased hold, you can apply to wet hair, and add more water, with an additional option to blow dry the product in for even a longer/stronger lasting hold.After learning from the company, the pomade is of the highest quality ingredients and is a style that has been trusted through time using volcanic ash (I might not be a pro on these products but the companies aid in usage helped drastically). After applying, look over your hair-due for any that needs to be wet'd in.Smell is amazing, a citrus primary with woodsy aftertones, my gf actually wishes the smell as cologne for me.Absolutely amazing customer service from the company.

I've tried multiple brands of pomade over the years and the Matte Clay by Kingpin is my new favorite. Provides a perfect combination of hold along with the natural look, without that glossy shine. I really like this pomade but the quality appears inconsistent. The first time I purchased, it had a thicker consistency, deeper green color and better fragrance. Not sure if the formula changed or just manufacturing/batch inconsistency,I like the product but hope batch #3 is closer to batch #1 that I received.

I’ve been using this for about a week now and it’s awesome. It doesn’t make my hair all hard and crinkly and tough to run my hands through it. Smells great, and you can feel your hair soaking up the essential oils!!

Smells wonderful and is a good clay pomade but its pricey

If you have stubborn hair like mine you should just move on. The hold on this I give a 3 out of 10, it does not hold my hair in place like I want it to. I think the word "clay" within the description is misleading. It should just say pomade. The scent is truly amazing but that's about all the benefit I'll be getting from this. Sorry. I was hoping for something that would have a strong hold on my hair as described.
