Vaccines Are They Really Safe and Effective?

This book is easy to read and contains numerous understandable charts that are footnoted to credible sources. I buy this book 10 copies at a time and keep them in my car so I can give it to women I meet that are expecting. I normally say "Have you heard about the vaccine debate?" If they're at all open to the subject, this book saves a very detailed discussion of vaccine pros and cons.He has a whole chapter on the following vaccine disesases, polio, tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis B, chickenpox, haemophilus influenzae type B (that the hib vaccine is given for), pnuemococcus, meningitis C, hepatitis A, RSV, flu, anthrax, and smallpox.He says that several studies have shown that injections increase susceptibility to polio. He has an awesome chart that shows the increase in polio following the introduction of diphtheria and pertussis vaccines. He also has charts demonstrating that the polio death rate was already significantly decreasing before the vaccine was introduced. Then there's another chart that shows how reported cases of polio actually increased following mass vaccination.In the pertussis chapter, he has a great chart that again demonstrates how significantly the death rate had decreased prior to the introduction of the vaccine. About 1 in 200 children that received the full DPT series suffered a serious reaction. It really scared me that babies die at a rate 7 time greater than normal within three days of a pertussis shot!He quotes surveys in medical journals that say that 87% of doctors do not think the hepatitis B vaccine is needed by their newborn patients. The groups at highest risk of contracting hepatitis B are IV drug users, prostitutes, and sexually active gay men. It is given at birth, 1 month, and 6 months.He explains that Hib-vaccinated children are up to 6 times more likely to contract Hib during the week following their vaccination versus non-vaccinated children. Research shows that antibody levels actually decline immediately following vaccination. A landmark study of 200,000 children was done in Finland and published in the British Medical Journal. The group that received 4 doses of the Hib vaccine had 26% more cases of diabetes than the non-vaccinated group. The study concluded that the "increased risk of diabetes in the vaccinated group exceeds the expected decreases risk of complications of Hib meningitis"He has another pie chart that graphically shows that 70% of doctors and nurses do not get flu shots.One of the most shocking charts was the one that shows that in a survey 82% of doctors admitted they don't report a serious vaccine reaction! That's how many doctors admit it. How many don't admit it?This is a wonderfully easy to understand book. While it is based on solid research, it was written by a lay person, which may account for how easy it is to read. I recommend it to anyone who is considering vaccinating.

Easy to read, packed with the most important information about vaccines.I have lent this book to so many mothers and sometimes they lend it to other mothers and I end up having to buy another copy for myself.Whether you are pro or anti vaccines, this book is a must read! If you are pro-vaxx, this book will still come in handy, so you can customize the schedule of vaccines to fit your child's unique needs. If you are anti-vaccines, this book is an important reference book, so that you know the antidotes, in case your little one is exposed to certain situations.Every parent should read this book! You'll never regret doing so and it might save your child's health or even life.

When I was 12, I told my grandma that I was refusing to get vaccines becauseevery time I got a flu shot, I ended up getting the flu. Every since then, I haven'thad one. My grandpa buys into the hype and gets one every year, and EVERYyear, he catches a cold and/or flu. My grandma herself also stopped gettingshots and was alot healthier for it as well. This book just substantiated what Ihad intuitively known since I was younger (I am 24 now). Injecting the virus inyour bloodstream does not protect you from the virus or bacteria it is meantto protect against, it INFECTS you with it. Ugh, not to mention the thimerosal,pig and cow blood, mercury, and formaldehyde used to keep it from spoiling.And to think we are injecting our newborns with this deathly scrap.The research is thorough and I, myself, cross referenced the sources andfound that the information does in fact, match up. I went to the WHO website andreviewed peer reviewed academic journals and found the same thing Miller did,these injections are DANGEROUS to our health as individuals and as a global society.Book is very thorough with graphs to boot. My sister had concerns about getting her underweightearly born twins being vaccinated again after the smaller one at 4 lbs scared her to death with cessation of breath and shallow breathing, and after reading a few chapters, decided that it wasn't for herchildren. Her girls are quite healthy and thriving, without more vaccines, and she is happyshe could make an informed decision.I recommend all parents read. We parents have a choice about vaccinations, as there is NO LAWthat requires your children to be vaccinated, only extremely biased doctors who get paid more for eachvaccination they give. There are exemptions in ALL 50 states that allow for you to refuse vaccines andstill let your children attend public school. Get informed and get this book.

This book is great to have as a resource and to also share with curious friends.

This book was referred to me by an in-home daycare provider. It is an excellent book to read if you're curious on what the other side thinks. Actually I was quite a skeptic about what people were saying against the vaccines so I wanted to find out for myself and draw my own conclusions. The author and citations are credible (there are some whackos out there that don't back up their information) and the book, in general, is easy to understand. Sharing the sad stories added to the author's point of view. It's hard to tell a parent that vaccines were not the cause of a child's death when one day they're fine and the next day they have gone to heaven. So, so, sad and unfortunate that this is happening to our children. If you're still in doubt or a skeptic after reading this book, do more research. Good portion of the research published in the medical journals have a good chance of being bias. Why would your published-pharmaceutical-company-funded-research find something wrong w/the medications/vaccinations the very pharma companies sell? It would be like "biting the hand that feeds you." The best medical research to review should be independent research.

The refrain from the medical profession is always the same in those circumstances of immediate or slightly delayed crippling conditions: “it’s not related to the vaccine”Every parent and friend of parents and children, with any doubt, must read this book - now more than ever.

Excellent book from beginning to end. You should buy as many books like this before they censor them and take them off amazon. Before the guv. Decides forbyou and takes away all your parental rights.Read and learn and apply.

It is a very well written book for anyone, even without basic knowledge of all the diseases where vaccination is used. It covers the basics plus the history behind the vaccinations and provides information how the diseases had been treated before vaccine had been introduced. Everyone who has a questions regarding whether to vaccinate a baby should have this book on a bookshelf.
