A very effective and efficient way to store your tools so that you can see them - and more importantly these tools are easily accessible. Its a strong magnet mounted in a metal frame that mounts on 16 inch center holds. Very simple yet very effective tool storage.Certain tools I use all the time - for home repairs/maintenance, adjusting wood working tools, bike repairs etc. Storing these everyday tools in a tool box drawer or bag was not efficient for me. These magnetic holders do an excellent job. The bars have a powerful magnetic force that is strong enough to painfully pinch your fingers if you are not careful. Even so, be sure to bolt them to the wall. Loaded up with heavy tools, the bars cannot maintain their hold on the wall. [I have mine on a metal pegboard structure that is the backing to my workbench.]An excellent product, that has allowed me to have all my hand tools in one place for the first time. I don't have to search for anything! The magnets are strong enough to hold fairly heavy tools easily.

if you hate losing tools cause you do not have a tool box buy this and enjoy. instead of tossing my screwdriver on a shelf i stick it back on this magnetic tool bar and there it remains easy to grab for the next use. the 24in fits in my closet pretty well. any longer size might be too big. it fits almost all my metal tools but i have about 20 tools. i ordered one for my knives as well. the grip the magnet has on the metal items is super strong. it is really hard to install you need 2 people cause the pull of the magnets rip your screwdriver out of your hands while screwing the screw in. the screws are flat head which is impossible! i went and got phillips head screws instead but still super hard to install by yourself.the bar itself is heavy. but after the hard install it is worth every penny. easy to find what i need without hassle.

This is the third magnet bar that I have ordered for my work shop. The original order was for two and they both worked quite well, holding hammers, knives, files ... anything metal. I do some fly tying and put some lures together and had a bunch of small hand tools that came in a case. The problem was when I wanted a certain tool I had to first find the black carrying case, then unzip it and then locate the correct tool. This process quickly grew old and I had room on my wall, so I ordered the 29inch magnetic bar and put all of the small hand tools on it and keep them within easy reach for quick access. Putting the tools back is even easier, just put the tool against the bar and it is held firmly and safely until the next time. Magnet is very strong, I highly recommend this item for the hobbyist or someone's work shop.

In the add it looked like it had a yellow stripe, but it was tape that came right off so it is just black. It was easy to install and we can fit all our kitchen knives and scissors on it. It is VERY strong and holds stuff so well. It saves so much space and it is just very cool!

First let me make this clear: I'd give these a 5-star review if it didn't make me feel like a shill. For the price, you can't beat them I have 3 of these, and it's the best thing I've ever done for organizing my tools. They're stout, they hold a decent amount of weight, and they come with the hardware you need to mount them. I'm pretty sure the mounting tabs are spaced 16" on center, so they should match standard stud separation in the US, but I have mine mounted to plywood, so I didn't check. I can only review these based on how they've done for the application I've used them in, and with that in mind, I don't have anything bad to say about them. If you have steel tools that need organizing, and you have a wall, this is the best $15 you can spend on them.

It will magnetize stuff stored on it. great for screwdrivers and wrenches.... Years later still great.

I ordered one of these a year ago for my husband and he loves it so I bought another. I went to my purchase history and just pressed order again thinking obviously I would get the same thing... I was wrong apparently. I received a completely different magnet bar from the one I bought a year ago. It’s my fault I guess for just thinking I could press order again and I would get the same thing I have already. I will be returning so I can purchase the correct bar. Thumbs down amazon..
