The trays are tightly packed together and on arrival I broke one of the trays just trying to get them apart but able to use it by avoiding the end that cracked. They will not likely last for more than one season at this rate. I also must confess that I thought this would fit on a window sill by comments made by others and failed to take measurements myself. Nope, much too wide but it has found a place on my dining room table near a window instead.

Not sure what the problem was, but barely anything sprouted in these containers...I was so disappointed. Everything else I planted at the same day germinated, but nothing from these containers. I suspect it might have been the growing medium that was provided...I used a soil that I bought from the nursery for all my other seedlings and they grew fine.

The soil and cavities work splendidly. Really appreciated getting added soil in the kit! The plastic lid is flimsy and can be bent (but not destroyed) by a curious cat. I've created a "hinge" using duct tape and mist the seeds every morning. My seeds popped up immediately. Also I'm using a 100 watt 5000K daylight bulb in a lamp right above the unit and am running it for 11 hours a day to simulate bright daylight. Altogether seems to be working fine. All early flowers to be planted in the garden for the upcoming Spring. Recommended!

Once you actually manage to pull apart the base and lid....(I sliced up my finger doing this, the plastic is sharp)...but once you do get it apart, it's a decent product. The provided soil is excellent. The vent on the top, works, but leaves wanting the design to be better. Overall, good product for the money

This was the perfect seedling setup I had for my tomatoes this year. My plants loved the water reservoir at the bottom. The only problem I had was the top vent for the dome doesn't snap into place.

I love this set up. It’s simple to use and all of my seeds sprouted. I did have it on a heat mat also but I love how sturdy this is and the seed starting material is fantastic.

Venting “wings” would not fit properly. Otherwise okay.
