At the beginning of the 18th century, the naval cannon, based on the Brunnfield design, was equipped with a hair dryer. The gun mount is equipped with four wheels or trolleys, so that the gun can be effectively used in a limited space. At the same time, the gun body can be used with a strong pulley to control the rebound of the gun body, and the gun can be pulled back into the ship to reload the ammunition and then pulled out. In the hands of a well-trained crew, it takes no more than a minute to complete the process. The cannon was equipped with a six-pound shell, and when it was flat (the gun was in a horizontal state), the shell landed at a distance of about 300 yards. If you increase the 'shot' angle, raise the barrel and the range can reach 3000 to 4000 yards.

This thing is freaking awesome!!!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. For actually firing this thing you need to know a little about what powder to use and how to load it. It’s not that difficult. You definitely need the right powder though. Hodgdon Triple 7 FFG works great. There are good YouTube videos showing how to pack and fire the thing. I bought it for a gift but learned how to shoot it before I gave it away. I will absolutely be getting one of these for myself soon.

2mm fuse DOES FIT THIS CANNON!!
This thing is great! and yes everybody the 2mm fuse you can buy right here on amazon will in fact fit this cannon, the hole is exactly 2mm so cut your fuse at a good angle so it goes in easy and also clearing out the fuse hole after every few shots helps. if your'e upset it doesn't have a ram rod or gimlet just search "needle tool" and you will find the perfect tool for both tasks, the needle part at the end is great for clearing the fuse hole and the shaft of the handle is the perfect length and diameter to be used for the ram rod and you can get two for $5.99. now lets get to ammo, I prefer to use .20 gram plastic airsoft bbs, they are the same diameter as the metal shot but, they're cheap, less likely to damage property or injure someone, and most importantly if you forget to clean the barrel and end up getting a round stuck halfway down there you can easily drill it out whereas good luck trying to dislodge a metal round from a dirty barrel without a good drill press, so make sure and clean your barrel if you shoot it a lot. and finally the powder, i almost didn't buy this model because every video i saw of it firing, the damn thing jumps in the air or does a back flip! its ridiculous how little powder it takes to make a very powerful shot, about a pea size amount will do, if it does anything more than roll back a few inches then you're putting too much powder in, it should not flip backwards or become airborne by any means, loading this thing too hot is not only a huge waste of powder, but could potentially be very dangerous. P.S. just use tissue or paper towel for wadding, why people insist on stuffing bread in their cannons is beyond me lol.

No instructions for use, requires modification
So it's a very nicely made cannon, but it has a couple of drawbacks. The fuse hole is too small for 2mm fuse so it has to be drilled out. Most of us only have inch sized drill bits so the hole will end up a little oversized. There are no instructions for use so it's impossible to know what a safe charge of powder is. I made a little scoop from an empty .22lr shell and 3 scoops full of Pyrodex FFFG makes a pleasing "bang" when capped with a pea sized wad of tissue paper (and no actual metal shot). Since there are no instructions though, I highly caution against actually firing it. I also recommend if you do decide to load it with real shot, use lead instead of the supplied steel because if you have a misfire it will be next to impossible to clear a steel ball but lead can be drilled out pretty easy.Again, I highly caution against actually firing it.

Requires work, drilling, to make work.not reliable, you will need reloading skills
Recommended cannon balls DID NOT FIT. RECOMMENDED FUSE DID NOT FIT, Then the stupid thing doesn’t fire anyway.I YOU TUBED, GOOGLED AS MUCH INFO AS I COULD. Still won’t shoot. YOU WANT A RUINED CHRISTMAS Needs bigger fuse hole. Wish they put the specs on the front end. 6mm balls didn’t fit that were recommended, no instructions, even though I am a muzzleloader and have the skills- it rarely goes off. Total crap1, possibly 2 mm fuse. Had to drill it out and spend Christmas doing drilling work . I would not recommend. Much work, repair, professional PAID REPAIR TO MAKE A BAD DESIGN FUNCTION. I had to drill out two or three dozen no detonation cannon balls, to about six fire offs. Large work to make use of. If you don’t have a workshop? Don’t get.

Cannon shipped didn't match product photo
The Amazon product photo showed metal pins through the axles retaining the wheels, and metal pins through the tenon joints connecting the panels. The item I received had no pins. The wheels were not as well finished either - surfaces showed marks from the equipment used to cut the wheels, instead of being smooth machined as shown in the photo. The model was heavy and solid, and otherwise well made, it was just disappointing that the details didn't match. Returning for a refund.

Fuse hole is smaller than 2 mm
Looks great on my desk, even better when outside shooting it.Wish the base was tad darker, being closer to black instead of the all stainless steel color.Note: Fuse hole is smaller than the described 2mm size, so only Four stars. No big deal, I just drilled out hole with a 2mm bit and started shooting.

Great & not so great
Beautifully made for display purposes. Not so great as a working model. The fuse hole is too small for the fuse available at Amazon. The cannon also does not come with any instructions or a ram rod for loading or a gimlet for clearing the fuse hole after firing.
