This is some strong leaves
Oh. My. Goodness.I read a review about loose tea of another product and found it hilarious because it was a man telling about his dreams- it had to do with lucid dreaming😳 His telling was so funny to me and I’m sure it wasn’t to him. Be he experienced nightmares/terrors. Well, first off, I purchased this tea because it’s a sleep tea. I opened the tea and placed it in my tea infuser/holder and decided it was too early to drink it so I left it out on the counter in the kitchen and sat down to watch a few shows until I decided it was take make it- I was going to give it an hour to work. The first thing upon opening it was the scent. Let’s just say the fragrance is pungent. A more accurate name would be a horrendously god awful horrid smelling behind. Man or animal. Not that I’ve smelled dirty behinds but it is a stench. I figured it was valerian. I don’t even know what scullcap smells like but the entire contents of the tea package reek. I was sitting a good 15 feet away and it wafted it’s way to me.😷 Anyway, when I was ready to drink I boiled the water, and steeped the tea about 15 mins. The good news? When I drank it it tasted fine. Weird Huhn. I also noticed early on that I was relaxed. That’s a good thing. Then shortly after that I realized ‘man I am SLEEEEEpy!’ So off to bed I go.I woke up almost like wide awake 3 hours later. Walked around, drank a bottle of water, went to the bathroom, and then decided let’s go back to bed. Then I remember ‘hey wasn’t I having some weird dream?! I think I was! ugh. Let’s go back to sleep. Well when I did I was awake-I told myself I was asleep. I also told myself I am dreaming and it is a nightmare! I don’t like this! This isn’t happening wake up! I wake up thought of the nightmare, panicked -then went back to sleep... right back into the nightmare. I did this a few times for the next few hours until it was dawn. I contemplated drinking more water and going to the bathroom to empty out the remnants of the tea; so that I do not go back to the horrible nightmares that bordered on ‘am I dreaming or is this real’ because I keep going back to the same dreams and it progresses to the next stage when I go back to sleep! I finally ally fall asleep after 630am to alittle after 930am where I did not dream of anything-I just slept. I could have slept longer but I like to be productive and start my days early and I had already lost a few hours. Throughout the night and early morning hours I realized that I drank the sleep tea and promised myself I don’t think I should take it again. I read in separate review of lucid tea that the nightmares past after a few days or weeks and I simply cannot see myself doing that another night. However, I feel anything organic ought to be good for you and maybe I should give it another try. But I need my sleep! This product was touted as a sleep tea. I can vouch for that-but what it doesn’t say is you are most likely apt to darn near prone to nightmares. I’ve had lucid dreams. Dreams I’d love to have again or experience -but not nightmares. I don’t know how this happens or the whys but again this is a sleep tea and it does work. Not sure how the nightmares or even lucid dreaming comes into play. Perhaps I should look into it.At any rate, this tea works. Just depends on how your body/mind/soul and spirit reacts I guess, or your mindset before going to sleep.Thank you for the product-it works. I just need to find the right one for me 😉

It grows on you...
My first reaction was, "this tastes like dried lawn clippings", but then I slowed down and really tasted it and it got better and better. Something in this has an amazing earthy and rich flavor that I really enjoy, especially if I breathe slowly while sipping it and get my sense of smell involved. I really relish my evening serving of this tea now. The instructions say to sip it over a 3 hour period, but there's a perfect temperature that I enjoy and it doesn't last long once it hits that point. I've been sleeping pretty well, and perhaps the tea is helping, but I can say that just the process of slowing down and consciously enjoying the tea is calming all by itself, independent of any alchemy that may be happening. I'll definitely re-order this. If your first reaction is not positive, just slow down and really deeply taste it, making sure to breathe through your nose to get the full experience. If that doesn't work, let your inner hamster take charge of your senses.

Grateful for an organic and effective sleep aid!
I decided to purchase this blend after i received the Wild Child calming tea for my little one as a gift. I thought it was time to try one just for me and I am so glad that I did. The taste of Valerian is very earthy but pleasant with a bit of agave or natural honey. The instructions say to start drinking a couple hours before bed but one cup before bed does the trick for me. I tend to have a tough time winding down at night and love having an organic and effective option at my fingertips. Worth a try, just add some sweetener to balance out the Valerian. You won't be sorry.

Earthy and herby
I am skeptical by nature but wanted something natural to help me sleep. I researched herbal teas that help you sleep and this tea was consistently in the top 3 on several web sites so I figured I’d give it a try. First impressions: It smells like someone took some grass clippings from a compost pile and mixed them with some fine powdered trail dust. It tasted like that too. However, after about a week it seems more earthy and herby. I wouldn’t say it’s pleasant but it does work. That’s right, it works! I drink two cups (20 oz total) and after about two hours I feel very sleepy. The price is a bit steep in my opinion but I figure one bag should last about a month so that’s about a quarter a cup.

PERFECT FOR A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP!
I own all of the Modest Earth teas now, and this was a quick favorite! The taste wasn’t too strong and about 30 minutes after one cup I drifted off into a peaceful slumber :) I let my dad try some and he loved it, too! We both have trouble getting a RESTFUL nights sleep but we compared notes and agree “Dream On” definitely achieved just that, for both of us. Very happy to be adding it to my Modest Earth tea collection!!

Lights out, and dream on
A surprisingly effective tea for easing you to sleep in the evening. A few cups a couple hours before bed really works wonders as the effect takes a bit to sink in. However, the taste of the tea is not the most pleasant; I strongly recommend mixing in some loose leaf chamomile or something else like mint to help offset the strikingly bitter flavor. So long as you can balance out the flavor, this is a remarkable gem of a night time relaxant.

helps with sleep
I have a difficult time falling asleep or sleeping for continuous 6-7 hours. This tea helps. I drink it 1-2 hours before bed time and notice that it is easier to fall asleep and stay asleep during the night time. The taste or smell is not great. Well, if it helps, I will continue drinking it instead of benadryl. Plus I didn't develop any bad reaction to this tea so far. I use this tea for one month.
