My newer Dell laptop's power supply gave up the ghost, and I had to buy a new power supply. I could have powered it using the USB C PD port, but that uses up one of my USB ports. Using this cable with an older power supply from another Dell (with similar voltage amperage requirements) and you are good to go!!! I wish I would have come across this cable before I bought a new power!! Should have looked a little harder on Amazon, but at the time--who knew!!

Wanted to use with old HP CAR/airplane power supply. Fits, but power supply only charges intermittently on newer laptop. Probably the P/S. Works ok if I forget P/S.

I knocked my laptop off a nightstand and bent the original plug. A new charger from HP was too expensive and the only other charger I had with the right specs had the wrong size plug. This little adapter fixed that problem and fits perfectly. It seems a little overpriced but it's still considerably cheaper than a whole new charger.

Works well to convert an older HP pc charger/power supply with larger style plug to newer gneration plug. (This has nothing to do with the converter, but I found that my PC willl send a message that says "Smart charger not working properly." I believe this merely reflects on the older charger technology. It still charges the PC.)

This adapter converts the larger style HP charger connector to the smaller size connector. I don’t know why HP uses 2 sizes of connector’s on their laptops but this adapter allows you to use the same charger on either laptop configuration.

Have only used once but it does what it is designed to do. It converts the larger Barrell HP power supply that they have used for about 10 years to the smaller ones for the new thin laptops over the last couple of years.Used it with my DBPOWER 600A Peak 18000mAh Portable Car Jump Starter (did not have the correct adapter) to power my childs Chromebook when he forgot his charger at school.Not sure about longevity but seems well built

Reasonable price and work as it advertised. Can't go wrong as long as you mesure it correctly.

I needed a way to use a spare 180W (7.4mm) dell charger with my new (to me) Dell Optiplex 3060M that came without a charger. This little adapter connector was cheap and it did the trick. Saved me from having to get a whole new charger.
