Works perfectly to correct spin cycle
My 17yo Whirlpool started banging during the start of spin cycle. The drum would bang hard against the side of the washer no matter if I had a small load or heavy load. I called several Appliance repair places that all told me about the same thing that it was house call ($85) plus 2 hours labor ($80 avg) and parts ($80 to $100) to fix the washer. The washer cost $340 brand new when purchased so I wasn't going to spend $250 to $300 to have it repaired.I decided to research the problem and fix it myself. Did some research and found this is a common problem with suspension rods on many washers. Also did some research and found the non OEM Whirlpool knockoffs don't last more than a few months if you are lucky. I ordered these and watched a video on replacing them and it was not difficult. In fact, it took me less than an hour and all the appliance shops said it was a 2 hour job and it wasn't guaranteed to fix the problem. So save yourself some money and repair it yourself. Most contractors and repair places simply hire people off the street with no experience and give them a little hands-on experience and then turn them loose. It is very rare that you find skilled workers unless it is for electrical work or carpenters. Believe me, you are smarter than most of the repairman coming to your house. Plus, the labor rates they charge ($60 to $120 per hour) are outrageous.

Fix Your Noisy Washer
My wife thought she kept hearing thunder on clear days. It was actually our slamming, banging washing machine in the basement. When I told her what it was she wanted to buy a new machine. I installed these noise eliminators and now there is no more slamming, banging, or thunder! Large loads are no problem at all. The machine runs like brand new. As others have mentioned, you definitely need to do a calibration on your washer after you install these. Check on YouTube for how to do it, very simple and completes the job perfectly. Get these since they are OEM, it is worth the extra money. With what you’re saving by doing it yourself, it’s a no brainer, and a whole lot cheaper than buying a new machine.

So easy and fast, anyone could swap this part.
Works perfect in an Amana NTW4610YQ0. Immediately stopped the banging noise, vibration, and washer movement. Easy install for one person but two people would have been helpful only because the washer itself is large and bulky. Unplug the washer and disconnect the water lines. Rest the washer front panel on the ground, then unscrew the five hex bolts and three braces holding the back panel to the top of the washer unit. Then jiggle the washer top front and back to separate from the main washer. Then replace the shocks one at a time. Took maybe 40 minutes (start to finish) if you have enough space. Any layperson can do this fix, just wear work gloves to protect from cuts on the sharp metal edges. Only need the right size bolt wrench. I believe it’s 1/4” bolts. After swapping the parts and reassembling unit, turn the water back on and run a calibration on the washer.

OEM better than AFTERMARKET
I had the same violent shaking rotation on my Roper Washer Model RTW4740YQ0 when starting the spin cycle as many have mentioned here.Initially I replaced my springs and made sure my washer was level, but to no avail.Followed up by replacing the 4 suspension rod assemblies and cups. However, my first purchase of the rods off Amazon was from an Aftermarket supplier. They had good reviews, but some questioned the quality and longevity of the part.I installed them anyway and they seemed to work for a little while but then the washer progressively returned to shaking again. I then even tried cutting short 3" pieces of hose to install inside the springs to reduce flex, but that didn't seem to work either. Not giving up, I decided to try one more time, but this time use OEM suspension rods. I had resisted, but read other reviews where the OEM got high marks. My wife said this was the 3rd strike for me and if it didn't work, we would shop for a new washer. I agreed. I should also note that with all the aftermarket vendors out there, sometimes it's hard to know what is and isn't truly OEM. They are clever at disguising and advertising their item as OEM compatable. So I purchased a Whirlpool OEM labelled part # W10780048 which was about $52.89 off Amazon and it arrived the next day. I installed them with my wife's help. Took about 20 minutes and did it by tilting the washer up and replacing each one at a time. Really wondered if the OEM would make any difference since the others didn't look bad. They did seem to slide too easily on the rod though. After finishing we ran the first load and "Wowlah" the shaking had disappeared. After that, a second and a third with no issues. I was glad to see it work again.Still may be premature to make any concrete conclusions, but the ole washer is definitely better, like night and day.Hopefully it will last awhile. Being OEM I'm inclined to think so.Anyway, that concludes my repair story - just wanted to share my lesson learned that OEM parts appear to better than AFTERMARKET on this particular repair. Oh for sure, they were a little more money, but I think with better results.I guess time will tell, the boss is happy now and so am I.Time to go wet a hook.

You need a additional tape rap
The sizes and dimensions are correct, it fits perfectly for my WWI16AB whirlpool washing machine. The only problem is that it does not bring the drum support links, I had to put the old ones and fasten it with a tape rap for greater fixation. After this he was well restrained and washed without problems.

Fit's MayTag Comercial Washer.
Fast Delivery. Installs easily. Haven't tried washing anything yet to see if it solved my shaking and knocking during rinsing. If it does I will be a very happy camper. Finally got to test washer and new parts solved my problem. Thank you very much.

Works like a charm! No more shake, rattle and roll.
So far so good. At half the price of buying Whirlpool parts, I decided to give it a try after seeing some great YouTube videos that showed how easy it would be to change the parts myself.
