Health Warrior Pumpkin Seed Bars, Honey Sea Salt, 12 Bars

I only bought/ found these due to a prime coupon deal, but I love them so much I would totally consider rebuying them again once I’m out of them.We have been on a healthy food kick and these are a very reasonable snack for between meals that doesn’t make you feel gross or bad for snacking.The texture is similar to a chewy granola bar (not hard) but it stays together a little more (less crumbly) than a standard granola bar with grains and oats.Each one is individually wrapped so it’s easy to take on the go.I love that they are fully coated with chocolate to make a dark color, as it made my kid (grade k, who is so annoyingly picky of an eater) just called them a chocolate bar and ate 1.5 in one sitting. I was floored that he seemed to love them, as he never eats seeds, nuts, or trail mix- but the dark chocolate flavor had him hooked. If the kids all continue to snack on them I will 100% rebuy them, as it’s so hard to find healthy things that excite kids.Overall I’d recommend them.

I recently tried the chocolate flavor and it was ok, but not spectacular, so this time I decided to give the cinnamon spice flavor a whirl. I just happened to receive them today when I was hungry and in need of a snack, STAT, so I immediately opened them up and gave them a taste test, along with my 3-year old assistant taste tester. Oh my goodness, let me tell you, these are the best snack bars I have had in a long time, if not ever! If you are a fan of cinnamon or "pumpkin spice" flavored things or chai, these are for you. The cinnamon is very, very prominent in these bars and they also have ginger and allspice in them, so they have lots of flavor and a little bit of kick, but not so much that my 3-year old didn't keep asking for more bites. The pumpkin seeds really compliment the spice combination used here and the sweetness is not overwhelming, although I do feel it could be a touch less sweet and still be yummy. The ingredient list on these is short and every ingredient is recognizable, which I like. Even though I just got a box today, I'm already ordering another box of this flavor because I don't want to run out.

As far as “healthy” snack bars go, these have a pretty good flavor. While they weren’t the best bars I’ve had, I can’t justify the price point for the quantity and flavor to buy regularly. There are other seed/nut bars on the market at better price points.

I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews. Mine aren't expired but expiration dates are a guess that manufacturers make up. It's an improper word that a lot of people get hung up on. Expiration date actually means best eaten before the date. It doesn't mean it will turn rancid.I got the variety pack and all of them had the perfect amount of sugar. It seems like about half the sugar of a regular protein bar. Many people may feast on sugar throughout the day and think these bars taste bad because of it. Just a guess but it's typical of people in the states.I'm subscribe and saving these to use as emergency food for when my homemade bars run out.

I got the variety pack; the chocolate ones are pretty good; not something I will order often, but they do tide you over. I am really disappointed in the honey one though as I love honey. Apparently the mix of honey with the other ingredients though leads to a bad flavor. Now keep in mind everyone's taste buds are different so a bad flavor to me may be the greatest thing in the world to you. If I do order the product again I would not go with the variety pack and would only go after the bars with chocolate.

These Health Warrior Protein Bars work well for me. I wanted something to tide me over when I was running late for lunch or on the road and between meals, but feeling a little tired, ore hungry. For some reason the protein in the pumpkin seeds works really well for me - satisfying my hunger until I get where I'm going or to the next meal. They do that without a lot of sugar. I have a strong reaction to anything too sugary and I have not had that problem with these bars. Love the flavor, love the way my body responds to them. I keep them on hand all the time.!

Wanted to give these a try so I ordered the variety pack and loved all 3 flavors. I love pumpkin seeds and the ingredients used so they tasted good in my opinion. Word of caution though, not just about these but any food product you buy off amazon, check the expiration date ALWAYS! The box I just received expired August 7th 2019.. 6 months ago!!! I've had this happen with other food items in the past and have called to complain about this multiple times. I was hoping they would get better about checking and properly rotating food product, but apparently they haven't. The product gets a 5 star review because of how much I love them but amazon gets a 0 star review because they haven't figured out how to stop sending out expired product.

We bought the product because it looked so healthy. Two people in the house tried it out. Many of the seeds were rancid and there was a taste of mildew. One person was sick after eating for 3 days, and the other for one night. We called the manufacturer to discover where they got their ingredients. They refused to say. The woman said the ingredients come from many different countries. She said repeatedly she could not give the info of where the ingredients were from. We asked her to check with someone who could. After waiting a long time she came back and said they didn't have the information but if we'd like to give her some personal information and a phone number, someone might contact us. We asked when that would be. She said "maybe within 6 weeks if they have the information." We declined to give our personal info and decided to write this review instead so others won't be affected similarly.
