Having cheap gloves around to keep your hands clean and protected from harmful chemicals is the way to go. You don't want them to feel scarce or precocious because then you don't use them. My solution is to buy in bulk (a few hundred at a time) so I always have lots around and never think twice about using them (BTW - IMO the same is true for zip-ties).These particular gloves are just fine. They seem to be on the right side of good/cheap trade off curve, (e.g. they are slightly more good than they are cheap) so while they will and do tear if you abuse them for the most part they last the length of whatever job I need to wear them for and I don't have any qualms about using up a pair even for a 30 second project.
