Works exactly as it should

Very easy to change out. The hardest part was removing the old one but I found the old spring is most easily removed by rotating it as if you were unscrewing it. The new one fits into a different slot compared to the old one. Makes you wonder if they deliberately made the old one with a weak design so you have to spend money to fix it after a couple of years.

The plastic parts are the weakness just like the original, really they need to be metal but can find one. Lasted 3 months then broke again so a bit useless.

This is different to the original as fitted to the Siemens dishwasher but it fitted. Spring mounting bracket was different had metal plate rather than plastic (An improvement) and the new cord to spring was different and to fit needed the little lugs on the side of on plastic fitting on cord end removing. The instructions were poor and did not mention this. This would certainly confuse some people.

The instructions are not great (well, depends how good your German is I suppose) so either search youtube or check the side that isn't broken.Still, very easy to fit, changed both in less than 5 minutes.Well, plus the 2 hours of trying to get dishwasher out from under the counter - thank you whoever thought it was easier to extend the worst adjustable feet I've ever encountered rather than tile underneath the dishwasher!

This works for any machine whose part number is the one listed. So it says Bosch but my machine is Neff. Brilliant as saved the postage fee from neff direct! Easy to fit although perhaps more complex taking the various parts off to expose the bit that needs changing. Got there, thanks to various YouTube clips. Can’t believe it was so easy. Machine door now doesn’t take the skin off my shins.

Perfect. Did the job of making the door opening and closing much better as i suspect the cord on the opd ones was becoming stretchedand frayed.

Genuine Bosch parts. Fit model SMV53A00GB/14.Supplied with clear instructions.Easy to install once the dishwasher has been pulled out from under the worktop and the small side panels have been removed. (Just one Torx head screw on each side panel.)Don't worry if the old springs have damaged the original location features as these replacements slot into a small recess just in front.
