Wider mouth than my previous SimpleHum kitchen bin so easier to fill, good solid pedal to open, silent smooth open and soft close.Seems well thought out.

OK, so, its expensive. But it really is the best bin i have ever had. Its big, its stylish and its practical. I have been through a fair amount of bins and if i had just got one of these i would have probably saved money in the long run. There is a substantial 10 year warranty. It it currently toddler proof unlike my old bin which the toddler kept opening and leaving open grrrr.The bin liners are expensive but again, they are big and durable. The husband who was initially very unhappy with such an expensive purchase to hold rubbish is converted and agrees its worth the money.

So nice having a 60 litre capacity. The only down side is you’ll be stuck wanting to buy their bin bags as they fit perfectly and are great quality. So its a bin and a subscription really.

EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BASED ON DESCRIPTION/PICTURES

This item was far too large and bulky, and is very expensive for what it is. I therefore contacted Simplehuman via Amazon, and they agreed to collect the bin today, since it is far too large for any pick up point to accept. Despite Simplehuman ASSURING ME in writing via email that they would arrange for the large bin to be collected by a courier today, no one has collected it, and no one has contacted me about collecting it, or given me an estimated time of when they will come to collect it! Since it is now almost 16.30 I contacted Amazon chat regarding this, only to be told that Simplehuman should contact me within 24-48 hours. I have decorators coming tomorrow, and have this huge bin is taking up space in my hall (which is getting decorated), due to the fact that Simplehuman have BREACHED THEIR AGREEMENT to collect the bin today, which they have had FOUR DAYS TO ORGANISE!

Great quality and build, nice soft close lid, if using their bin liners, then it’s a great package all round.I gave it 4 stars only because of the cost of the bin and the cost of the liners, which I felt was high, especialy as it is a pedal bin and for the price, I’d of expected it to have touch free electric opening.Bin liners are not cheap if using their own brand, however they are made to measure and a great quality, not cheep thin rubbish that will tear when pulling out of the bin, and have draw ties for sealing the bag and carrying it out.So basically it’s and expensive bin but it’s very good at what it is and dose 👍
