Great beginning to the series
I have read many Leia Stone books & loved them all, but this is the first S.T. Bende book. I am very impressed with both the story and the authors collaboration. The story line draws you in quickly and the chapters make you fall in love with them and their mission! All this is set into a mythological setting that is oh so familiar that you feel like you are right there with them. The icing on the cake is the budding romance based on an enemies to lovers theme. Can't wait for book 2!

read it in no time
Good story line. My only complaint is thereβs parts that repeat what happened that I think could have not been repeated, but I read it in under a day so for a slow reader or someone who is much busier then me it can be beneficial. Over all a great

Fun, Easy Read...
I waited to write my review until I finished the series, meaning Allie and Tore's story. I have no idea if there will be a spin off on any of the other supporting characters. That being said, I found the entire series to be an overall enjoyable read. The premise is one that we all can related to, Allie finds that there is more to her than just being your typically college freshman and her life is about to change irrevocably. The reader should definitely keep in mind that the genre the series falls into is that of: Teens, Children's Books, Fairy Tales and Folk Tales of Norse Mythology. This is a very YA read, so I become frustrated when I see negative reviews that state the main character is immature. Duh... she's eighteen and just beginning to understand who she is and where she comes from. So give a girl a break. Not wanting to give away too much, but Allie does come into her own and is surrounded by her protectors and allies she meets along the way who help her fumble through the monumental task that has been laid squarely on her shoulders by the Norns, who are like oracles that can foretell one's destiny. So to break it down, here are my likes: I found Allie to be snarky and I enjoyed a lot of the banter among her and her protectors, the story telling was very well written, and once invested in the series there were times that I genuinely felt bad and became teary eyed during certain scenes as they played out.Overall, for me, the read was a bit predictable and long before the end of the series I had already figured out how most things were going to play out. That being said there was one plot twist that I did not see coming that I applaud, and that definitely had me wanting more. Obviously, this this in no way hindered me from finishing the series with a very satisfying ending. If you enjoy this series you may want to check out the Realms of the Otherworld Book Series. Crazy laughing at 3am? Sure!
Leia Stone and S.T. Bende writing together?!?!?! I jumped up and down when I saw that and then sat impatiently waiting for Protector and it went up and beyond what I expected. You can see the influences each author brings in to Protecter and it harmonises each other perfectly. Protector is my must have on my shelf and the cover is stunning so my self will be happy. Everything about Protector is amazing and I can say nothing wrong about it. Just that I need more Mack Pack! .... Please?Allie is kick ass awesome and I loved her from the start. Especially when she meets a certain someone on her run. My family probably thinks I'm crazy for laughing at that at 3 in the morning but who cares, it was hilariously awesome. Every chapter had me on the edge of my seat - okay I was laying down so biting my nails? Eh - and I needed to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend you give Protector a go even if you haven't read wither author before or even if you have. Protector is a must have!'When I looked up, an unnerving sight met my still spinning gaze."I'm delirious. There are five Macks." I rubbed my eyes, but the number of lumberjacks did not diminish. Scattered around the forest that looked like it had been lifted out of a nature magazine were five variations of my barded protector. Each stood with his combat boots firmly planted in the sea of multicolored flowers. They stared at me, weapons in hand. "How dizzy am I?" I asked."

Back in the Asgardian realm is so good for my soul!
Back in the Asgardian realm is so good for my soul! I love the world that Bende has created in so many different stories and the continuation in this new series, paired with a new flair from Stone, creates a world I love to escape into. I am excited that this book is the beginning to a new series, introducing a new series of characters that cross paths with those I already know and love. Allie is such a fun female heroine. Her journey throughout this book is relatable and exciting to watch. The transformation from the first page to the last is one that the reader can get behind and cheer on. Add to Allie's journey a group of protectors who are fun, flirty, and strong, and you have a winning combination.I love how this story weaves through the ones Bende has shared before. Learning more about the Asgardian realm, specifically the healers and the different deities and prophecies, expands this world greatly. Allie and Tore's chemistry is smoldering and feisty. I loved watching these two circle each other and fall hard. The subtle love story fused with the dangerous adventure of fulfilling the prophecy and saving the world gives the reader a story that will keep you hooked till the very end. I cannot wait to read more of the Night War Saga and see what comes next for Allie, Tore, and the protectors.

Loved it
I love Norse mythology, and I've read several of Bende's books. This collaborative work was amazing! I'm looking forward to the development of Tore's and Allie's relationship, but more importantly, to the last pieces of Gud Morder! Great book

Great Start!
I have read Leia Stone before and I was really looking forward to this series. It did not disappoint.I loved all the characters. Allie was a strong lead, independent and had her funny moments. Her powers intrigue me and I cannot wait to see how they develop.Tore is a good match for her, I had to laugh at how they met with the pepper spray and he used that as a nickname. I want to read more of his story.Johann, Greta, Mack and Bodie were great characters too. Bodie made me laugh for sure but Mack is my favourite. He is so sweet! The plot was great, it flowed well and I am looking forward to more!!
