Overall I think Gariz did a fantastic job on the Camera Half Case. The quality seems very good and it is really easy to mount and remove the camera.If you plan on using this case with a Tripod, you may want to modify it a bit.One aspect of the case that I would like to see changed pertains to the Tripod mounting hole. The hole is all the way over on the right side of the case. I would like to see if they can move the tripod mounting hold closer to the center of the lens.One way to achieve this might be to use a screw that has a tripod mounting hole. I was able to use one (Got it from JB Camera Designs) which then moved the camera closer to the center. You can see that in the 3rd picture. The negative to my approach is the screw with the mounting hole sticks out a bit from the bottom of the camera. This could be fixed with a slight modification to the Half Case allowing it to be flush. I am pretty sure I could drill out a bigger hole to make the screw sit flush, so I am sure Gariz could do the same thing.I wrote up a longer review on GearMashers.comOnce this fixed I think the Half Case would get 5 stars.

Beautiful, beautiful case. It is very well made and it fits the RX 100 III perfectly. It also povides just the needed extra heft to give the camera to give it a more secure feeling in the hand without adding a "permanent" grip to the camera body. I am very please with this purchase. It was expensive but I believe it will last for years and so I feel it is a good investment for this very great little camera.

Much better than the SONY cases but you really need to go to the Gariz or vendor website for more info on what options and items work together and which half case works with which cover. Go to the SopeYoYo website for full info on the full Gariz line of products or contact SobeYoYo directly for compatibility of components with specific cameras and models.If you have large hands, then the HG (hand grip) model half case will surely be advantageous.If you intend to use this item with the RX-100M3, then be careful about model numbers when ordering case and full camera covers.

This is a beautiful half-case for the RX-100 III. Be sure you have the handgrip accessory as well for the camera, as this case is designed with the extra space in that area for that grip extension. If you don't have it, it's empty space underneath… not a deal breaker but definitely buy with that in mind.
