Good Replacement Home/Travel
***UPDATE*** Today is March 14th, 2019. I just received my replacement for this charger at no cost. The seller was excellent at honoring the 1 year warranty. Within 24 hours of emailing them, they had it awaiting shipment or in the carrier’s possession. I highly suggest this seller and this product! The original did malfunction but it was promptly replaced without an issue. Thank you! This 60W charger is amazing. It quickly, efficiently and compactly charges my kid’s MacBook. I love only needing one thing plugged into the wall. I’d get a longer (10ft) phone/USB wire necessary for your USB charging device. If they sell the computer charger wire in a longer length, grab that too. This one doesn’t have too much distance between the wall and device. But we prevent overheating by using the computer down to a certain battery % and then putting it away to charge. Using it while charging seems to get the cooling system in OD. But that’s an issue I’ve noticed with brand new MacBooks and older models alike so I don’t think it’s the charger specifically. Just make sure you have the appropriate wattage! You can go on the Apple site, call them or go to a store to have them give you details if you can’t find them any other way.

WORKS! WISHING for longer cord
Our power cord for our 2010 MBP had become unreliable. We've avoided Apple's expensive cords for years. One of our USB outlets on our USB hub had failed and no longer charges devices. "60W Mini Charger for MacBook Pro 13 Inch Magnetic 1 L-tip, Replacement for Apple MAC Pro Charger AC Power Adapter - Before Mid 2012 - One Extra USB Port Design" from: Callallc; was our perfect solution. It has not thus-far overheated and since we did not have to purchase a new USB hub; it saved us money. We like that it has a light to alert us that the charger is working. We only wish that charger was available with a longer cord option.

Great option for MacBook Pro charging
Got this for my MacBook Pro Early 2011. It works flawlessly. The build quality is also pretty good. What I loved was the charger gets the design right. This is my third charger for my Macbook Pro, both the prior ones were Apple Originals. Both became disfunctional because of Apple design flaw. The cable frayed near the squarish power adapter. Apple's design of having heavy power adapter and thin power cable seems fundamentally flawed. However hard you try and protect the cable, it starts to bend and the covering starts to come off.I wish the power cable was at least 3 feet more than what it has, hence a star less. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

For Macbook Pro Late 2011, get this one and not the cheaper, knock-off apple look-alike model!
I got this model to replace a different, slightly cheaper model of generic charger for Macbook Pro late 2011 that was an utter piece of caca. This one doesn't look conventional and isn't trying to look like a knock-off apple product like the one previously purchased. It actually works, doesn't get hot or make strange noises, and is a good value for your money!Bonus: The seller doesn't bribe you for reviews!

Works as they should, smaller to carry
I got frustrated when I left my power cord behind one day and decided I needed two, and I'm so glad I got this lightweight and easy-to-pack charger. The original + apple extension cord took up way too much room in my laptop bag, and was bulky to coil up and carry. Now I have one I can keep in the laptop bag that's small, easy to wrap up and store, and lightweight, and works great. Th e extra USB charge port is great, too. I keep the original plugged in near my desktop machine, and have one to lug around with me :) The macbook (late 2009) doesn't seem to care which one I use.

Great But Short Cord
It's quite the handy little charger! I love how it doesn't have the bulky converter like the Apple cord does. I also like the USB charger so I don't have to hook up my phone to my laptop! My only complaint is that the cord isn't long enough. It's a distance from the outlet and my couch and it just reaches the arm of my couch. If I want to lie back or move someplace else, I have to take the charger off. There isn't any place to put an extension on. Overall, I love the design and hate the short length of the cord.

Very good quality!
We haveve been using it for over a month now and it seems to charge just fine. Very good quality. We use an extension cord because it's not as long as the original Mac charger but that's okay. This one doesn't have that big bulky square thing flopping around on the floor. I would recommend it for a replacement option over the more expensive Mac version.

Finally a good replacement charger for a decent price
Apple's chargers only lasted me a year or two on average before they would start fraying. I tried refurbished Apple chargers and, while cheaper, they lasted an even shorter time. Then I tried another third party charger. That one lasted about a year and then broke internally somehow. This one has the best build quality, especially the cable thickness, of any charger I have used so far including Apple's. No problems five months in. No signs of wear. Hopefully it lasts a while. The power may not be as clean as an OEM Apple charger (headphones buzz when computer is charging), but that does not seem to matter. Unlike other chargers, this one runs cool, which is nice. The built in USB charger is also a nice touch.
