Fair pricing
This OEM part is where this GE refrigerator fails the homeowner. This poorly designed fragile plastic faceplate is easy to break.I was very happy to find this replacement OEM part for significantly less cost than buying it directly from GE. This vendor is great, I’m glad they are fair in pricing. It makes the best of a bad GE design. Would buy from company again.

Replacement for broken front panel on our refrigerator.
Item arrived in good working order. Easy to install. No instructions or anything provided, but easy enough to look it up on youtube, or just figure it out on your own. Good quality replacement.

Easy to install - I just wish I didn't HAVE to go through installing a 3rd one.
This is a factory replacement of the OEM piece for the display piece of the General Electric model GFE27GSDASS refrigerator. Hopefully this review shows up in a Google search in case someone else needs a new one of these. The buttons to select Water / Crushed / Cubed ice on the display are connected together with the thinnest plastic GE could find, and with normal use the bracket holding said buttons together will crack. This causes the buttons to fall into the display over time, rendering them useless, keeping your fridge dispenser on one or two at-best dispenser settings. Upsettingly, that's what happened to me twice now. Since this fridge came with my home, we've no warranty for it anymore, and the quote I received to fix it was laughable - $250. I'm handy enough with a screwdriver so I took a whack at it, and found a used one for $90 here on Amazon. It took maybe 10-15 minutes to swap, so 5 stars for ease of install at least. The fact that something that should not cost more than $10-20 new is this expensive is cruel. The engineering team behind this flimsy hunk of junk are evil financial geniuses, getting a recurring $100+ purchase from someone that bought a $1500+ refrigerator, or just so happened to move into a home with one. Either that, or they're as useless as basketball cleats, approving this design to begin with.I doubt I ever get another GE appliance by choice based on my experience with this overpriced garbage.

Fit and Looks Good but Very Cheap Product
I believe this to be a genuine GE replacement part. On the plus side, the part arrived quickly and there is nothing the supplier of this part did wrong. I would buy another part here. I bought this to replace the panel that came with the fridge. After purchasing the GE fridge and using it for about a year and a half, one of the buttons broke when it was pushed on the edge. I was able to remove the panel and fix it temporarily. I did this over and over again with the various buttons for about 3-4 years until the panel was so cracked and broken from the brittle plastic that it required replacement. I was very happy with this replacement for about a month but now it appears that the panel's T clip that attaches to the fridge broke. This creates a slight gap between the panel and the fridge. I am afraid to remove and return because I won't have anything temporarily (I threw the old one away) and I'm afraid this part is just going to break more. I will not buy another GE appliance (I also have had multiple problems with my matching GE microwave).
