good movie kelpt me on my seat worth the price

WOW! I know you must be tired of me starting my movie reviews with WOW, but this is really a WOW. Director Amat Escalante has directed a number of great films and was named Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival. Rather than try and put this into my own words, let me quote the DVD box. It is "stunning", "powerful", "a skillfully crafted, unflinching work" and it "looks straight into the soul of Mexico". Perfect analogy. It gives a personal families horrifying experience into the drug wars that plague the country. Definitely not for kids. This one is truly powerful. And I know my Hispanic friends will totally love it. All 5 stars. Give it a view.

The movie is very true on hardships Mexicans face with the on going drug war. It is difficult to watch but it makes you think twice about life.

As a Mexican I am offended by the acting in this Movie, the acting was so bad I thought they were being Bad on Purpose. Couldn't follow the story because the story was lost by the acting.

I appreciate the story line. I think it is important to talk about these issues. The acting was painfully bad, though.

This is a very realistic take on a vital subject matter (drugs)..I enjoyed the film and will view and share with others..Fine director and writting is spot on.

actors try the best.. bravo... but kind of funny, los besos de los novios was hilarious 😂
