This book behind like a seven year old writing about what they did in the school holidays. It's all and, and, and..... All the places the Spanish went to report a Noah story. Wonder why. Maybe the natives could only remember Genesis? The final chapters examine the reasons for the discussion of flood stories but it takes fortitude to get that far. I wonder how many tribes had babies in bullrushes stories also? The whole religious flood thing is too morally corrupt to have been invented by everyone God creates, God is petty and vengeful and kills everyone usually for sexual deviancy . He saved two people who like sycophants, or terrified prey animals build him an later and thank him for making them the only people left who are now forced into incestuous relationship. All powerful perhaps, but hardly all loving. Thank heaven for atheism 😉

To be honest, I am only about a third of the way through the book, so strictly should wait before writing this. However, it is great, all I expected from the title and more. Very informative and written in a way that makes it a joy to read. Highly recommended.
