This ingenious gadget protects the back of footwear which might otherwise get trodden down as you push your foot in. Place it inside the back of the shoe and just step in, then slip the gadget out. Marvellous. Aficionados call this a “shoehorn”.Amazon have seen fit to put a barcode sticker on the reverse which, if removed, leaves a sticky gunk which will stick to the back of the shoe and probably cause wear and tear. Quite a feat to impair the function of a piece of curved metal. The adhesive eventually came off with copious amounts of hot water and rubbing. I'd advise just leaving it in place otherwise.The shoehorn is sturdy with a strong, smooth paint coat, so five stars for the product itself.

I did note that some purchasers had a problem removing the bar code sticker. On plastic or painted items such as this I use WD 40, tear off the top surface the sticker then soak remainder with WD 40 and allow it to soak in, with a bit of work it will soften and release the glue finally, wash the item in warm soapy water to remove any remaining WD 40.

lovely handy little shoe horn that fits in my handbag. So easy to use and love the bright colour.

This shoehorn was purchased to prevent me ruining the backs of my new work shoes.My shoes are well fitting and therefore I do not have to put a large amount of pressure on this shoehorn. From its current regular use though - I have seen no issues with any bending or warping of the metal.This shoehorn is relatively small so I would not recommend for anyone with mobility problems, trouble bending down or issues reaching their feet.For anyone else that just wants to slip your shoe on quick, it's perfect!
