KapakUltra Violet C clean hearing aid dryer and dehumidifier automatic dry case

I had been using a dryer cup/desiccant to store my hearing aids overnight for years. Recently I noticed that my battery life was getting shorter. The problem became progressively worse to the point that sometimes they would only last a couple of hours. I began wondering if it was a moisture issue as it was midsummer and it was very humid. I began shopping on Amazon for a solution and finally decided to try this Kapak unit. Almost immediately after I started using it my battery life began to get better and after only a couple of days it was back to normal. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it seems to have solved the problem completely. The unit is super simple to use and I like the fact that it not only dries (with auto-shutoff) but also disinfects using UV light. I am very happy with this product and would strongly recommend it.

I use this every night and then went to my audiologist who tested my aid for moisture and it didn't have any. This has happened several times so I am confident that the machine works great. It is compact and if you only have hearing aids, this is a wise choice. It also works in just a few hours. AND you don't have to buy dry brick desiccants and replace them every two months.IF YOU OFFERED A SECOND SIZE WITH A 1" WIDER BOX THAT WOULD BE BETTER FOR THOSE OF US WHO HAVE COCHLEAR IMPLANTS. I have one hearing aid and one cochlear implant. The wiring piece gets a lose connection in this dryer because I have to squish it into the dryer. If it was 1" wider inside the box, it would work better for me. The wiring piece costs $360 so I do not want to replace that every three months. I am going to have to purchase a second one for my cochlear implant and now I have more clutter on my nightstand or remember to swap out the hearing aid for the CI in the middle of the night. Not likely.

It’s a very good product. But to my mind the temperature 122F is to much for drying hearing aids, they become pretty warm. But UV ray is prefect for disinfection!!!

I used to use the Dry & Store, but got tired of needing to replace the dry brick or whatever it's called so I looked for one that didn't require anything other than being plugged in. However, I don't know whether my behind the ear hearing aids are larger than average or what because of the 2 or 3 that I've tried, they really aren't suited for having more than one of my hearing aids in at a time. I mean I can fit both of them, but I feel like they don't dry properly then. At least the Dry & Store was big enough to fit both at the same time without needing to cram them together so it did feel like they were getting dried.(The only one that I've found so far that feels big enough is the Serene/Renew which also had the advantage of a place to put the batteries outside the machine as I don't trust running the system with them in. I actually currently use that one at home, but was looking for one to keep at my parent's place while visiting, but it wasn't available from amazon anymore when I looked - I purchased this product instead).
