Animals on the Other Side

Our pets
I love the book. It is actually a children’s book however it is a very comforting book talking about how our loving pets when they die go to the other side heaven. I have sent out about twenty of these books over a period of ten years to friends who have lost their pets.

Its easy to read and to comprehend for young readers who ...
Ordered this last year when our dear sister's dog past away to console her. We have given this book to others whohave been so depressed after their pets have gone to the other side. Our doggie day care Mommie gave us thisbook many years ago when we lost our doggie to cancer. Its very supporting. Its easy to read and to comprehendfor young readers who lost their pet.I have read some comments that gives this book one star and negative reviews. Everyone has their own beliefs.Children or some adults may not understand what happens to our pets or humans when they die. This bookgives a loving perspective and illustrations that help to console us in different ways. I believe I could not writea book as this one that can heal a broken heart. One should refrain from negative reviews when they, themselves, cannot provide healing to others.

Sylvia Brown....Still More Helpful than Jesus, at least.
You can say what you want about the self-proclaimed psychic Sylvia Brown, but whatever you say, she offers comfort to people who happen to be absolutely terrified of death and dying (mostly because of the Bible telling them that if they do ANYTHING wrong, they risk the eternal fires of hell). You can call her a fake, a phony, and a storyteller, but I would argue that you could use the same adjectives to describe the authors of the Bible. The difference is, she portrays God to be loving and gentle and that no one ever suffers after they die. I personally would rather listen to her theories on the afterlife than to believe that God is the cruel, heartless individual he is portrayed as in the Bible. I prefer to think of a God is loving, not evil like the Christian version.

Very Helpful After Death of Cat
After the death of our pet cat, my child, who has autism, was helped by looking at this book. The pictures are very beautiful & show lots of different animals "on the other side." The picture of Jolie admiring the "timeless architecture of Europe," is a favorite. One can imagine our cat next to Jolie on the steps by the fountain. Having a strong visual appeal, this book is a winner, and helped us explain our beliefs: concepts such as Heaven, Spirit/Soul & God (none which are specified in the book). Thank you for helping calm a saddened heart.

Nice to know our beloved pets do go to the other side, too.
After reading this book, I felt better about losing our beloved Chow, Bear, after having her with us for 13 years. I wanted to know if she was still with us in this life and if we would see her in the next and it answered all of those questions. It did comfort me when I needed it most. I would recommend it if you have lost a beloved animal and are wondering where they go and what happens when they die. Could be longer though. Overpriced, as new, for content also. Buy it used. It is worth it then.

Pretty pictures
Not so sure about the story but the pictures are lovely. I find that children enjoy them. And as a owner of many dogs and cats who have passed on, the text is nice to think about. I prefer the Rainbow Bridge poem. But this was quite lovely.

Love the pictures
Love the pictures! The simplicity of it all was a blessing for me at a time when my emotions were running high after just having lost 2 of my dogs to illnesses. I refer to it often and always feel good after reading it and flipping through the pages!Thank you Sylvia, Chris and Jo for such a heartfelt book!

Was Surprised
I thought the book was going to be more in depth than it is. However, having said that ~ it's a wonderful introduction into the other side for children. Once they realize what a wonderful place it is for their pets, it must be a wonderful place for people too!
