It Fits My Big Head
I really like this hat. I have a big head and it fits a good fit. It's nice to wear when it's not raining badly enough for an umbrella. It keeps my hair from getting wet which is my main concern.

Happy again! with my replacement hat!
i loved this hat the first time i had it, had had it for about 5 years, lost it somewhere, ordered again (Jan 2023), and though the wire brim is a bit out of synch with a circle it can be adjusted. The important thing is the elastic pull at the back which makes sure the hat will not go flying and the wire brim's flexibility. It is both rain hat and sun hat. I drive a motorised scooter with a roof on top to keep the sun off in summer but nothing keeps the sun out of my eyes like this hat does. I bought @6 other hats in a panic after losing the first, forgetting where i'd originally bought it. i am so very happy to have found this hat again.

Unclear product description
The product add did not indicate that the brim was 'underwire." The product works but can't be stored in a pociket or a gof bag without bending it.

Not a good hat for me, I found
With the slightest breeze it will flip up in the front so if it is doubling as a sun hat, it is a struggle to keep the sun off my face as I must hold it down often from the infernal flipping up. I have had it for three years and the last time during a very light sprinkle of rain, it flipped up and fell in a mud puddle. Usually it just flies off in a major intersection while I walk in the cross walk. It was the beginning of the end for this hat in the puddle. It is self adjusting but to get the hat to not blow off you have to tighten it up a bit and when you do that you get a nasty forehead crease that when hatless indoors, people stare at. It does go away though. Still it is not a guarantee that tightening down will keep it on. It does not help it from flipping up in a breeze. As for folding up, it will definitely mess up the plastic wire around the brim so it will never be right. I think it is a stationary, standing or sitting around- type hat with light weather and no breeze. I live in Southern California with little rain but when it does rain, it comes down heavy sometimes. Recently, I finally had the hat on to test during heavy rains. I was soaked to the scalp in a couple of minutes or less. I have a Helly Hansen -type hat in my gym bag. Though not as nice looking, it has a chinstrap and it will never soak me and can be folded in a bag without making it looked maimed when I go to put it on. A plus is that I can drive with the hat on and use a damp cloth to wipe clean. I have a black one. I realize I could spray this one with some water repellant which I plan to do before I thrift shop it. Scotchgard Durable Water Repellent, 12-Ounce. It won't change my mind anymore though. Too much flipping of the front brim for my nerves.

Best Rain Hat Ever
I have been on a search for YEARS for the perfect rain hat and I've finally found it! It is comfortable and practical. Honestly, it is not the cutest thing for a young woman to wear, BUT who is really looking at you when it's raining anyway? Due to the wide brim, I can use this instead of an umbrella during light rain. It is great to stash in your purse instead of a heavy umbrella (and believe me, I've searched high and low for the lightest smallest one of those as well). I love the elastic band on the inside edge of the cap -- it makes the hat snug even in wind and very comfy. My only wish is that came in white!Warning for women (and men with small heads) -- this hat is pretty large. There is an adjustable string in the back, but if your head is really small, you may have to tighten to the point where it is not comfortable. Lucky for me, I have a big head and this hat fits with only a little tightening.P.S. Also machine-washable! I just washed mine and it was fine. The wire on the rim got a little crooked, but you can straighten it out a bit and I don't need mine perfect anyway.

Wonderful hat!
I bought this hat for the rain. It is perfect. It is lightweight and has a drawstring to adjust the size. I have a small head and have a hard time finding hats that fit, so the drawstring is very useful. Also, if it's windy, it's great to be able to tighten it down. The brim has a light wire all the way around the edge to keep the shape and keep it down. This is exactly what I needed for the rain. I have two dogs and need my hands free when I walk them, so I didn't want to carry an umbrella. Hoods from jackets and coats, never stay over my head and the rain would hit my face anyway. The brim on the hat keeps the rain off my face. The back of the hat slopes down to keep the rain off my neck. I haven't worn it in the sun. But it is lightweight and should not make your head too hot. For rain, it is perfect! Wonderful hat!

It’s truly water proof
Hat worn today on the golf course during a heavy rain shower and water beaded off the hat and kept rain out of my face and glasses. Great very light weight and adjustable size.

Great hat when you are stuck in the rain!!!
Let's face it, anyone caught in a rainstorm on the course cares more about function then fashion. Although I don't make it a habit to play in the rain, I have found myself caught in both rain and hail several times in the last month. Each time, I was well prepared with a Gortex suit and this hat. The hat fits well, stays on, and most importantly, kept my head and neck dry. It does a good job of funneling water from the front to the back, and then with the extended brim... out past your collar so that you don't end up with water running down your neck.Overall... it may be an ugly hat (my wife's opinion ;)), but it sure works well!!!
