These may hold up in weather, but the writing bleeds and eventually becomes a blob. I suggest painting or wood burning. Also, do not use these in covered seedling green houses. They legit grew mold. Also, they eventually crack if left outside in cold winters. If you want them waterproof I suggest spraying them with waterproof spray paint, and skip the markers.

I bought these markers for my tomato seedlings. Both types of plastic markers used previously smeared when wet, even after being dry for some time....waterproof sharpies were used so it wasn't a problem with the writing tool. The bamboo markers solved the smearing problem nicely...they have a texture that the plastic ones didn't. BUT the humidity in the seed starter reacted with the bamboo and now I have a LOT of fuzzy white mold with light green highlights on the markers in the starters. I'm concerned that it will get into the soil and onto the plants so in the morning I'll be going back to the plastic markers.

I needed alot of plant markers and this purchase fit the bill. Because they are cost effective, I can use new ones every year if they get too weatherworn. So far that has not happened. I have been using them for four months

I have these in every plant in my vast collection and they are perfect in every way. I used a label maker to put the names on these for a more uniformed look. As my plant collection continues to grow, I will definitely purchase more.

Bought these for a porch herb garden and a small vegetable garden. Love them. So far (I’ve had them a couple months now)-watering and sun haven’t damaged them. I wrote on them with a Sharpie. Attractive and helpful...now, I can go ask my kids (and hubs) to go collect some sage and thyme for supper wo having to go with them and point out which herbs are which!

Etched these with my silhouette curio then filled in black with sketch pens ... love how they turned out. Will see how they hold up in the garden and flower pots. It does say best for indoor use so can't be upset if they don't hold up to weather, if they don't they still make a nice marker for gift giving and indoor use.

Exactly what I was looking for! I write my plants name on one side and the care instructions on the other side. I use a gel, ball point black pen and it works great, no bleeding or smudging. HOWEVER, dont get them wet when watering, the ink will bleed. Going to try using a fine tip sharpie to help with that.

I bought these to use as a "gift card" when I give a plant. I have found they are actually very useful. I also use them to remind myself who have me what. Or if a particular plant needs some special attention. I will definitely buy these again once I use up the ones I have.
