SAMSUNG Replacement Lamp HLS6187WX/XAA DLP Assembly with Original Bulb Inside

The first one I bought was a knockoff. I had to send it back. THIS ONE is a real Samsung. Worked well, fit like a glove, and was easy. My original, with the tv lasted a long time. This one lasted a couple of years. I will order another one.

YES! After almost 10 years and 25000 hours on my original bulb my Samsung DLP is BRAND NEW! The picture slowly dimmed over a 10 year period so I never really noticed it until I put in a new bulb. Once it warmed up the difference was AMAZING! The menus just POP off of the screen and everything is so much sharper and clearer. I could not be happier with this purchase, saved myself a thousand dollars by replacing the bulb and not buying a new TV.The bulb was nicely packaged and arrived ahead of scheduled delivery. It appears identical to the bulb\housing I replaced. BTW, I am holding onto my old bulb just in case I have an issue. It is dim, but I know it works.Install was simple, just need some rubber gloves and a screwdriver, altho I also recommend some canned air to clean out the innards while you they are accessible. So very happy with this purchase!

though it was the correct bulb size, the housing was not correct. Specifically, the connections. I had to remove the new bulb and place it into the old bulb housing. My TV is still indicating there is a problem with the bulb.

My Samsung DLP TV is from '07, so I've bought probably 6 bulbs over the life of the TV. It would have been less, but I made the mistake more than once (I'm thick) of buying one of the many knock off bulbs available for less than half the $80 I spent here buying the real Philips bulb. This one should provide a good 3 years before it dims enough that I notice, at which point I'll replace it once again for as long as the OEM bulbs are available. Frankly, I'm happy to get one for $80. I've paid well over $100 for the same in the past. All good.

When TV turns on it looks really nice and bright but I think I have another issue, possibly the ballast. But good product and service.
