Nice looking fan, well made, easy to install
I used our own glass bells. The clear ones are ugly.I used our previous LED bulbs, not the ones in the box.I did not have the problem of the 1* reviews that say the lights spin with the fan. They were secure and solid.POSITIVE REMARKS1. Its quiet, unlike my previous fan and its "ne-yit ne-yit ne-yit" noise. Primary reason of replacement2. Mine was relatively balanced as is, without needing weights. HUGE plus.3. It does look nice; my wife loves the rustic gray blades. She keeps staring at it.4. Install relatively straight forward like most fansNEGATIVE REMARKS1. I'm tired of these manufacturers using a mount that "supports" itself against the ceiling drywall. A fan should never need this. If you want to stabilize a fan, you balance it. However, since the fan "hangs" in its mount by a single point, like it should, there really was no purpose in mounting against the ceiling drywall. I shimmed between the electrical box and the with washers so that my screws tighten up against the electrical box, and NOT so much the drywall ceiling.2. The housing is like 30% bigger than it needs to be. Much bigger than the motor assembly itself. I suspect the housing is the same on this 42" fan and the 52" fans so when looking at the 42" fan, the housing is huge.3. This fan isn't so compact for a standard height room. Looking at the design of the mount, down pole and housing; it could have been 2" higher up without so much wasted space. With my 8' walls, the max is about 6'3" before you bump the bells.4. While the fan does look nice, it looks nicer in THEIR pictures. The clear glass bells don't look very good IRL either.NEUTRAL REMARKS1. The fan has a different system for mounting its blades. The arm presses into grommets. Haven't seen that before. I'm OK with it. It does save a little bit of time not having to bolt them together2. In the past, there was always a rubber spacer between the fan arm and the motor. Not this time. Not sure if it matters?3. Instead of numbered bags for the hardware, the instructions used symbols. One of those symbols was wrong. It was the bag of 10 screws with split washers for the fan blades. Bag has a whirl symbol on it.END NOTESOverall, I'm pretty happy with the fan. It took me about 1.5 hours to install. Nothing was difficult for a person who has done this a dozen times. I'm looking forward to its quiet operation and well balanced blades. That alone is a huge improvement. We are debating getting the same fan in 52" with the matte gray finish for one of the bedrooms. I'd have to order some bells for it though. The housing size should look more appropriate on a 52". Either that, or a more classic looking fan like our master bedroom has.Sorry my pictures not so great

Looks great, vibration/wobble issue
This looks great and clean. Don’t attempt to install it yourself, unless you do this for a living: lots of parts, wires, etc. Quiet operation. Bright lights, moves plenty of air.The fan developed a wobble/vibration immediately. There’s nothing you can do except balancing the blades. The cheapest diy way is to find the source of balance issues and glue a coin to one of the fan blades. This is similar to how we balance car wheels by adding weights to them. I took crazy glue and glued a quarter coin to the middle of one of the blades on the outside. Now the lights and the chains remain motionless, unlike before. Also speaking of chains, the fan didn’t come with them, I took them off the old fan.Bottom line: be prepared to have to balance this fan. You can take the diy route or buy a balancing kit for $10. Also buy chains for a few dollars more. Otherwise, it’s a freaking ceiling fan. No space age tech here.

Modern look, bright light & works perfectly for a low ceiling room
Needed a fan with regular bulbs but still modern looking, to replace my fan which had integrated LED that stopped working. We were concerned before buying if this style with open bulbs would be too low hanging for 8ft ceiling bedroom especially with a bed underneath. But we went ahead and after installing we are really happy. Because of clear glass doesn’t feel low and looks great. Chose the grey side for blades which matches perfectly with our modern white & grey theme. Gives bright light and have option to replace with other bulbs too if needed. Fan has good speed & not noisy. Easy to install, hardly took 45 minutes including removing the old fan for a professional guy.

Hunter's the best!
I needed a new fan for a bedroom but I knew Hunter lasted a long long time so that's what I searched in Amazon. I found this Hunter, moderately priced and somewhat heavy when it arrived. I hired someone to take the old fan down and put up my new Hunter fan. What a beautiful fan and so heavy! It is a low profile fan so it hugs the ceiling. No sway with this fan. Directions were easy to read and fan was up in no time! Perfect fan, moves the air, no hum and very bright lights. Even came with bulbs and pull chains! Love it!!

Great fan
I love this fan. It was easy enough to install, and I love the grey look of the one side of the fan blades. Perfect size for our small kitchen/dining area in our townhome. The lightbulbs that it came with say they're warm light, but they were more of a bright white, so I switched them out for different ones. The bulbs it came with also didn't dim, but the bulbs we switched them out for do, so I guess the ones it comes with are not dimmer compatible. The fan is super quiet and really puts out air. My only complaint is that when we use the dimmer for the lights, the fan also slows down. We wired it exactly how the directions say, so I'm not super thrilled with that part. But all in all, this is a really great fan!

Lights flickering, developed noise, Hunter warranty non existent
Bought this fan based on reviews and because it is a great looking fan. Developed a flicker in lights which make it very annoying to have lights on. Also, a noise started when having the fan on so it was hard to sleep. Basically I use my side light now and don’t turn on the fan. Pretty nice ceiling decoration now. Called Hunter warranty. They were great off the bat. Got back to me right away, and then nothing. They totally cut off communication from me even after repeated attempts to continue to resolve the issue. So now I’m stuck with this fan. Only a few months old too. Not happy.
