Our father who art in heaven had blow-in insulation put in this house in the early 80s but the installers damaged the duct work so the insulation was escaping to our breathing air. I assume he looked at the contract and saw there was nothing he could do so he went into the attic and taped the leaks but the 1994 earthwauake opened it up again but when he tried to claim it on the insurance Allstate balked because it was a previous damage so he put these filters on. But in January 2020 while I was across the street helping the neighbor our house was broken into and the filters removed. I'm lucky to be alive.

I wrapped this around a window swamp cooler to keep the bugs and dust out. Worked great, lasted all summer. It's quite thin so use some hardware cloth (I used plastic garden fencing) to hold it on. Once in place it held up well. I'm sure Y'all can think of plenty of applications for this stuff.

Seems pricey for the size. I only got 1 filter after cutting to fit. Very thin. Time will tell...to soon to properly rate when first installed.

What I like about this product is the fact I can cut to correct size for my floor and ceiling registers. I have used this for a few years now and its very good at getting the air filtered properly. It is thin for sure but very robust and it just works. I have tried other types of filters for registers but they are not as good as this stuff. The material really shows the dirt and dust in the air after a few months to which I just replace with another new piece. Worth the effort for sure.

High efficiency. Can no longer get it at home improvement stores.

it's what I needed to keep dust from entering my room, but wow is this expensive! I'll be looking for a less expensive filter material once this gets used up,

We put this in our window AC unit. I thought the filter was expensive at $35 but when it arrived I realized how large it was. We can easily make it last all summer into the fall by cutting the size we need for our AC unit. I always trust filters from 3M so I make sure to buy from them

Fiberglass filters by definition can not attain MERV 11. This is MERV 8 at best. Nor is it a "true HEPA" replacement as noted in the description. Nor does the 3m packaging pictured make any statement regarding a MERV or HEPA rating.
