Doesn't always work well
I bought 2 of these. They work very well in one loco but I get unstable speed control with another (brand new) DCC ready loco. Motors in different locos do have different characteristics and some DCC decoders give you settings you can change to compensate. The DCC concepts one doesn't. They do have an 'alternate' setting but that didn't help at all. In the end I bought an ESU LokPilot Std decoder and after changing the bemf control 'K' and 'I' settings the loco now works fine. So it seems a bit of lottery as to whether the loco has a compatible motor. It can work very well. I feel the manufacturers could easily have provided the additional settings required.
