So fun! I use it to commute from class to class and it cuts my travel time down by more than half. It can go really fast, but I keep it slow for safety reasons. When I ride up hills I can feel it trying harder, but not struggling. The piece attaches to the front of the board, so it is front wheel drive. The screws it came with were too short to attach to my existing long-board so I had to buy different screws, but they were too long so I shaved them to an appropriate length. Also, the wheels are larger than standard but it seems to work fine with my smaller wheels in the back. It's heavy to carry for long periods of time, but the battery seems to last long enough that this isn't a problem. The remote comes with a wrist strap and a joystick that controls forward movement and brakes. It also has left and right controls on the joystick, but those don't do anything. The controls are sensitive, but after riding it a few times I got the hang of it.Pros:Easy to installBrakesCan go uphillCons:Had to buy different screwsHeavy

You get what you pay for.
For the price, this part gets you going and has lots of power. The manual includes instructions for the wrong remote, and there is no instructions telling how to use the remote.Foward and backwards comes reversed based on the description and manual that instruct you to place the part on the rear of the board, So you have to swap forward/reverse on the remote each time you power up.There is very little resolution on the remote, and it is hard to start slowly. There is even less resolution to the brake. It seems like it is either on or off. Hard braking or nothing. If you hit a hard crack in the sidewalk, the battery pops out. But, you get what you pay for.

A Lot Of Fun!
This was my first purchase of an electric skateboard device (of any kind) and I am very happy with this product. Where most electric skateboards with similar specs run between $1000 and $1500, this electric motor / truck / wheels mechanism attaches to your existing skateboard deck and costs a lot less, yet delivers amazing speed, at will.Everything worked as described in the product description.I do feel like a couple of warnings are necessary.1. On a full charge and if you use full throttle, this motor is very fast, so move the throttle softly when you are first starting out. (takes a little while to get used to the speed and the sudden slowing down)2. I recommend using this on a longboard for more stability. I used it on a fairly big pool board (11" x 33") and it is pretty stable, but I will be switching to a longboard for even more stability.3. The wheels on this one are pretty big (tall and wide) and the trucks are wide, (likely they are big in order to fit the whole motor drive into one unit) so be sure you account for this total width when determining which board to put it on. (your average popsicle stick will be too small for this setup, as the wheels will stick out beyond the width of the board)All in all, this product does what it says and I was very happy with the feeling of speed, freedom and flow that it gave me.Now, I will put it on a longboard and really enjoy cruising along the river, beach or wherever I may decide to go!
