Around this a number of their photographs are inserted with accompanying captions. The book contains a superb collection of images, but it isn't just the images that make it so special. The journalists are not just fantastic photographers, but skilled word-smiths too and the accompanying text is as interesting as the images themselves.There's something for everyone, from Martin Parr's photo of a jar of lemon curd, Ami Vitale's lovely image of children playing, to Ron Haviv's shocking images of violence and war. It also includes Don McCullin's famous shot of the soldier with the thousand yard stare. A truly moving image. This is a book that will make you think, it'll shock you and make you smile.
